Same! Seen em live 5-6 times now and loved it everytime.

The best thing about them is, over the years most bands generally taper off... but fooies albums are always just great generic rock

I was a pretty big fooey's fan circa "Hey Johnny Park" & "Monkey Wrench", since then they have only had a couple of songs that have done anything for me. I must say though, I heard that teaser the other day on Triple J, and if it's anything to go by, this album should be kick ass. Dave Grohl reckons it's gonna be their heaviest album yet. I really hope so, cos that's the side of them that appeals to me.

Same deal here hz. When I put together a foo playlist recently it was 90% their first two albums and then just one song off each of their following albums. Stacked Actors and One by One are great songs but nothing else on those albums compares to the early stuff. I saw them 5 times up to the release of their 4th album but haven't gone back since. I was lucky enough to catch them very early on when they toured their first couple of albums and it sucks that all they can do now is play stadium rock shows and just the popular singles. It's fantastic to catch a band early on when they play pretty much their entire catalogue at each show. I actually saw them early enough to catch Dave have a drum duel against Taylor Hawkins - two identical kits on stage and when they played together it sounded like one. Twas awesome!

This album sounds like it could be the goods but I won't bother seeing them live again.

Love FooFighters! I'd lost a bit of faith in the Foo's since I heard wheels (not actually a terrible song... just sounded like mainstream crap.) but that little snippet totally excited me in lots of places. Going back to the days of old or even a new take on their old style would be so so sick! Bring it on!

First single is being played now.
It didn't do a lot for me on first listen but it's growing on me.
I've ripped the audio to my ipod so a few more listens should do it.

Quite good from what I've heard... Nothing quite up there with Monkey Wrench though

I don't often download music, but grabbed this for a listen. The audio quality sucked and I thought, well teaches me to download it. Just out of interest though, I downloaded a 320kbps version that I just found.. and that sounds horrible too. The sound is distorting even at lower volume levels. Yet the music on the website Kev posted sounds great. Weird.

Ahh! apparently the ones on BT airways are stream rips from the site. Which is why they aren't great.... and why the actual site sounds much better. I thought the CD had been released already.
