very nice.. looks like you've done very well for yourself :)
(and Miss V's comments "Thats really pretty!" and "Tell Norbs I'm jealous - It's such a pretty blue!")

It'll be interesting to hear your comparisons of new vs old bike on your regular rides... any idea of the weight difference between them?

I'd be taking it back in a hurry, some of the paint is already rubbing off on that pylon.

It got the better of me. Some where between 8.5 and 9kgs it seems. Can't be exact as the scales only do 0.5 increments.

Nice dude. I've been looking at the Trek 2.1, but that has a similar fit out for $300 less.

I did look at the Trek. I don't think the 2.1 has a CF seat stay from memory. I looked at the 2.1 and 2.3, but didn't feel as comfortable on them as the Avanti. I also rode a Scott yesterday. That was really nice, but $400 more.

Looks the goods Darren. Give it a week and I will let you know what the ride is like.

not a bad looking machine. Tektro brake calipers though, and no pedals for that price either.
there's a lot of competition at that level of bike, so you can get a lot for your money.. but you just have to be aware of where they are trying to save money :)

ROFL!!!
My wheels have 2 normal coloured spokes with the rest black & it really bothers me at times as you can see it going round & around.
Those white one's would plain piss me off I reckon.
