Picked up my Tiguan today

Post by smithcorp »

So nice having a new car. Lovely midnight blue 2.0 litre turbo, stiff-as, a dream to drive. I'm off tomorrow to Oberon and Bathurst to put some kms on it!

I'll post photos - the Tig must be one of the best value cars around at the moment.

A quick visit to APR and you'll have that baby pushing out close to 200kw. :D

Love the comment on that

"I OWN A TIGUAN AND IF THEY ALL LOOKED LIKE THAT I WOULDN’T OWN ONE YUK"

My GF bought a Tiggy when they were released - she had to wait 8 months for it to arrive tho :( The dealer chucked in free parking assist as a thankyou for waiting, but I reckon that was already on the car when it shipped

Haven't had any major problems so far - the front left parking sensor sees ghosts occasionally but that's about it. I'll try to get that fixed on the next service

Overall it's nice to get around in, and good on fuel

Lovely car. Took it for a good run on Saturday (flawless victory!) and then gave it the ritual first wash and caress on Sunday. The kids were sad to lose the Forester but they now love the "Tigger" as, yes, they named it.

Here's a photo I took this evening (a bit overcast). Night Blue's a nice colour.

How are you finding this car after a while now? Been looking at them more intently lately. I don't like the look of them too much, but headed they're good quality cars. What's the room like in the back seats? I'm 6'1". Been looking at either the Tiguan or the Captiva (the Mrs likes the Captiva)

From what I've read, if cost isn't the primary concern then Tiguan beats the Captiva all the time except maybe for the space in the back. And if cost is a big concern (and why wouldn't it be) then consider that Tiguan has the best resale in the market so you will lose a lot less in depreciation over a Captiva.

They are making some nice cars, I love the amarok dual cab... as a potential small business owner next year I am considering the VW as my first purchase. Tough as nails...

Is the Tig the car that pulled the Jumbo?

Nice mate beats our Jeep Liberty hands down.

As if you had any to start with. We gotta wait till February now due to unforeseen circumstances. At least the new ones now will be sorta in my price range :-D
