Cheers Mr Leisure, I had a Black CLX 3.0 but it got a hairline crack in the seat stem area, here in Adelaide Bicycle Express where I originally bought the bike, swapped the frame under warranty and gave me a Gloss White frame, I think the combination worked out in my favour in the end as really dogged the Black & White theme.mrleisure wrote:Love your Colnago Madcap . Currently I am saving up for a 27.5" Dual MTB, have looked at Norco, Trek, Cannonade & Lapierre. I think I have narrowed it down to either Norco or Lapierre at this point, but I can get a killer deal with a Alloy Trek with all the Bizz from Bicycle Express as I am good mates with the business owner. When it comes down to handing cash over I will choose wisely on either CARBON frame or Alloy with all the Jizz. Think the budget to get all the glory Ill have to look around the $4000 to $5000K, but always looking on bike exchange for those deals around this time of year.
Question do you go Carbon or Alloy - hrrrrmmmm

I have 2 friends who are Colnago fans. Both of them have the B-Box colour scheme from a few years back Really like the shaping of their tubing. makes them stand out from the crowd. Hopefully we'll see your Colnago out at the next ARSE ride, assuming Norbs treks out for the TDU next yearMADCAP wrote:Cheers Mr Leisure, I had a Black CLX 3.0 but it got a hairline crack in the seat stem area, here in Adelaide Bicycle Express where I originally bought the bike, swapped the frame under warranty and gave me a Gloss White frame, I think the combination worked out in my favour in the end as really dogged the Black & White theme.mrleisure wrote:Love your Colnago Madcap . Re: dual suspension MTB.. have you considered a Liteville? BMCR on Waymouth St sell them. A friend of mine has a Liteville 601 and it looks pretty decent! You'd also have the advantage of dealing with Pete at BMCR who is a legend

Re: Bikey Booty!!!! What you got fool?
A set of these turned up today for the Colnago . I am a little disapointed that the skewers and the cassette spacers are missing due to the box being broken open . I've sent them a message , hopefully they will sort it out for me .

Forgot to post a picture of the (almost) finished build
Cables are too long on purpose as the uppers go through the frame and I'm still experimenting with the front end height and arm rest stack; the Argon comes with a 3d extendable head tube so it can be adjusted without the use of spacers.

Re: Bikey Booty!!!! What you got fool?
So, I think i finally cracked the shits with my CX brakes.
While they're pretty decent, they have been annoyingly fiddly to set up and recently some/most of the O-rings that hold things in place have perished.
So rather than spend a dollar on some new o-rings, I bought new brakes that happened to be on special.
