maybe it should be a server rule, that you sign up here and come say hello?

im all for friends of friends, but if they are on the server alot they should at least know about donations

I agree, or at least some sort of notification that you would like a friend to join, not just let them know the address and have them show up and start playing with nobody having a clue who they are.

I don't think we need to force anyone to join up here. However anyone with friends or family joining would be expected to let them know the rules and regs. Hopefully these friends will want to chip in and help keep the server going.

Apologies for joining the server without much of an introduction!

Adam informed me a few days ago it would be a good idea to join this forum to let you guys know who I was. I hope I didn't cause any annoyance with my random joining.

I'd be more than happy to donate towards the ARSE

No worries Cardigan, we are just a little paranoid that we'll get griefed one day and if we know who is supposed to be on the server and who is not, it makes life easier when it comes to dishing out bans if required.

Evidentally I was just surprised to see a "cardigan" on the server, questioned him then searched the forums and voila.

Should probably keep a current list of such things going. I was two seconds off banning him, since we have had wolves missing and apparently iron ingots also.

Am tempted to whitelist the server infact, to rule out randoms joining. Since the server log resets everytime the game does.

alright im happy to whitelist, ill look into a plugin for chest locking. we had a great one before using bukkit. but im hopiong there might be some vanilla ones floating around

Just a note this server can run bukkit, tekkit and ftb? Not sure on the last one.
