Post your Videos

Post by Hz-Lab »

even though it'll probably only be me in here, I thought I'd start it instead of filling my DIY thread.

I also have these posted in the Cycling thread but thought I'd put them here too....

My 1st adventure in to the world of MTB videotography... Still ironing out the bugs in my filming, Focusing is something interesting on the fly, gonna come with experience I guess, and I also discovered I need better wheels & Bearings for my slider, anyway, lemme know what you think..

Cracking little videos, both of them ... I really like the moving camera work, and the compositions of a lot of the shots ... keep it up!

Here's one I did back in 2005 from a banger rally I did. Essentially that meant buying a roadworthy car for less than £100 and driving it through France and Switzerland, over the alps then down to southern Italy, fulfilling various tasks along the way. It was brilliant!

Wow, looking very shmick Mr hz.

Reminded me of a video I did a few years ago, had a school camera on loan for a class project however I went to a drifting event with it and made this... horrible quality and the songs give me the shits now.
Couple of decent shots in there somewhere though.

If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you finally have enough horsepower.

What programs do you guys use to shrink your files sizes down?

I've whacked together some footage from my latest fishing trip, but the 720p file is 3.3GB for 50mins. I wan't to keep it as 720p.. but surely the file size can be compressed? Currently its an *.mp4 straight out of powerdirector.

I use Sony Vegas, just using fairly standard export features, I think for youtube my best setup was using a .mov format.

EDIT: To clarify, that drifting video was done a long time ago and might have even been done in windows movie maker, do not recommend that at all.

I used power director for that's at one. What version are you using? There should be an option to render for web and it will render at 1080 or 720p ready for YouTube . I uploaded that last one at 720p and from memory it was about 75mb

Version 10.. didn't notice the render for web but no doubt it's there somewhere. Cheers (ended up uploading the massive file overnight)
