It has begun hasn't it.
Fantastic Stage but real action took a long while to happen as usual.
Hoping for more of the same over the next few nights.

T.Voeckler outstanding effort by him & the whole team. Chapeau!!!
He could hang on to it till the Alps IMHO.

by the way how the fark does Jens do what he does. Unbelievable!!!

Was a great stage... Vockler and Basso were nuts.. and O'Grady.. man.. he's got some serious clackers..

The schlecks are in control of this race.. cuddles will do as little as he needs to and contador is a mear shadow of last years man.

Tonight will be quiet I think.. tomorrow night will explode.. having said that I wont miss tonights HC climb.

Love it..

Even if Cadel does welll up this climb, surely its going to be hard for him to deal with both Andy and Frank... they can just work together like nobody else can

They are piss weak. If Cuddles can just mark them through the Alps, he is a massive chance. He should smash them in the ITT.

Ok, have just rolled out of bed after a neighbour decided to party like it was 1999 last night. Fucking doop doop music was blaring but I hadn't heard it because I had my head phones on.

The race. There is a lot of talk about the sisters Schleck, Cuddles and Pistolero. I haven't read any reports yet this morning, I will do that over breakfast, but, if Voeckler can get a tow through the Alps, he has to be some chance. I know he isn't exactly a ITT demon, but people said the same about Sastre in 2008 and yet the yellow jersey seemed to bring out the best in him.

Also, the closeness of the racing, could it be down to the leaders being clean?

Well, that's true as long as he doesn't lose too much time. You can make up maybe a minute in the ITT but you can lose 15 on one mountain stage if you dog it.

I think Voeckler could be the real surprise if the Bro's Schlek & Cuddles aren't careful. If, & it's a big if, he can keep most of his advantage over the Alps then he is a big chance imho.
Especially if his supporting team-mate P.Rolland continues to help the way he has in the Pyrenees. Then add that Voeckler is racing in Yellow in his home country and who knows what he could be capable of in the Grenoble ITT.
As you rightly pointed out norbs, look at Sastre's performance in '08. Also it is a widely known fact that the last TT is not necessarily won by the best TT specialists but rather the strongest rider of the GC leaders given what they have on the line... Fantastic Tour for sure!!!

I have never watched ANY racing and got home last night half cut with half an hour left in the stage.

I couldn't take my eyes off it, I nearly pissed myself not wanting to miss anything in the loo lol.

Great watching them try to break guys. I couldn't believe how hard they were going and barely breathing hard, being I'm trying to get fit myself lately I just couldn't believe their conditioning and their recovery after each sprint/break.

Was awesome
