That's pretty cool.

I was climbing (walking) Mt Oberon in Wilsons Prom the other week, and this kitted out Swiss guy in fancy trekking gear and walking poles came walking back down the mountain. My girlfriend, Lisa, asked him how much further to the top. He looked at his watch and said 150m. We were surprised and said "oh, is that all!", and he said, "oh that's up, not in walking distance." I later commented to Lisa that it's probably the first time he's had a legitimate use for that watch :D

Just an update. I got a full refund on the fake Hamilton, and the reason the dude has a 100% rating is that he cancels the sale. This means the sale no longer exists and as such never effects his rating. So this is one dude to stay well clear of.

Funny - Massdrop got my credit card locked. I joined the Suunto one last night and while they don't charge you until the end of the offer, they do apparently make a small charge against your card, i guess to verify its real. This is a trigger for the CC company (fraudsters will make a small transaction to test a credit card number before they slam it) so they locked my card.

Didn't find out until i was at Officeworks this morning buying a laptop sleeve. There's always a slightly humiliating feeling when your card is declined.

Did you speak to your bank about it?

Yep, straight on the blower. They fixed it, but it was for my own safety! :)

As I suspected I took the plunge and purchased the SARB033 from Massdrop. Im not worried about shipping delays..

Hopefully my card is ok, I used PayPal though so should be ok?

I think PayPal has pretty good protection built into it.

JD, I don't think he would have lost any money. It's just massdrop's system caused his bank to flag it as suspect (even though it's not, they are just being safe). Worst that would have happened was Massdrop wouldn't have been able to charge his card and wouldn't have sent the item.

Nice work Pix. It's a smallish watch, but suits my wrist. Also looks 1000x better on a leather strap.

I posted before, but I will again... This strap and clasp do the watch a massive favour.

I'd say about $160 more, but so so worth it.

Can you post a picture of yours with the leather?

You just convinced me to make a quick table top setup in my computer room with a desk lamp. I'll post results.

Cheers! I did a lot of searching to find the strap I was after, and this was exactly what I had in mind for it. My housemate has it on the stainless bracelet and he's pretty jealous of the leather. It looks a bit cheaper on the bracelet... but that's probably a subjective opinion. I used to be all about stainless bracelets, now I often find I like the same designs as I used to, but like them even more on leather. Only down side is leather with eventually start to degrade over time, and possibly even smell. I might buy a spare one of these straps and store it away.

Looks awesome Dex.. Thanks for the pics.

I'd imagined black leather but the tan looks great. I'll wait till I get it then decide.

My Seiko desk diver Massdrop arrived yesterday - will pop up a photo after I get the bracelet sized. Nothing of note, just an everyday beater.
