AI seems to be one of the most difficult aspects of coding a sim these days. Does any game get it right?

I didn't like the C7 Corvette when I first saw it but the bloody thing is growing on me. Can't wait to try in CARS

Funny you say this. I was throwing the Mk1 Escort around Arsewood last night in prep for tomorrow nights racing and thought what the hell, lets do an ai race.

Well 25 cars piling into the Saville S was very amusing to watch.

And it's so huge....
Slightly Mad Studios released the tenth update for Project CARS introducing the usual set of fixes and improvements. In comparison to the previous patch releases, update 10.0 is a rather insignificant patch featuring a handful of small tweaks. Unlike previous updates, this time, the patch is released for all platforms simultaneously.

Vehicles
Aston Martin – DBR1-2, Vantage GTE, Vantage GT12: Tweaked cockpit exposure to better balance the world brightness when driving in cockpit view.
Ford Falcon FG – Made the in-cockpit steering wheel static when disabled so that the digital display is still visible.
Ford Fusion Stockcar – Fixed a damage issue, tweaks to setups so the car is less likely to go on two wheels.
Dallara DW12 Indycar – Tweaks to setups so the car is less likely to go on two wheels.

Pitstops
Fixed an issue where, if the player pits on the final lap and only closes the pit board after crossing the place in the pitlane where the finish line is (but before the post-race screen comes up), the race would fail to end.

I like the new GT-3 Merc. :)

But I wish I could save replays as I just had a cracking GT-3 race @ Silverstone for 5 laps. Drove a Aston V8 Vantage GT-E and battled the new mercs, Bentleys, Cadillacs ect... all the way. Still sweating from it. One of the best 9th places against AI I've had. :)

Gave pCars a bash over the weekend... Fuck the AI is atrocious. They'll dive from 100m back, punt you and continue like nothing ever happened.

Do the same back and it's like running into a brick wall

The extra GOTYE content is available to buy on steam for $3.99 USD.

I think they had no choice Duke. I've been in it from early alpha and I would have been pissed if I could not access the new content.

Slightly Mad Studios has released ta new patch for Project CARS including support for the HTC Vive VR headset.

Besides the addition of the Nürburgring Combined track as released in the Project CARS GOTY version, this patch also brings us full HTC Vive support and a host of Virtual Reality improvements and fixes.

When using the HTC headset, Project CARS will now also support SteamVR’s room customization allowing you to customize the look of the 3D space surrounding the menus via the SteamVR Workshop. Furthermore, the patch features VR mouse support, Gaze control support, and the ability to seamlessly swap between them and use them along with Custom Controllers and Gamepads.

Slightly Mad Studios strongly recommends that you delete the configuration files that store the various settings. These are found in “\Users\<username>\Documents\Project CARS” and are the files with XML extension.

Improved rendering of dirt and rain drops on Helmet visor
