Any Excel gurus here?

I am doing some analysis of the ride on Sunday. Spat all the GPS data into a spreadhseet and want to work some shit out.

I need help with 2 things.

How do I subtract one time from another to give me the time taken between 2 points if the time is in this format.

That is all in the one cell.

And, each line of the spreadsheet has a distance travelled value that has an m for metres on it. eg: 2 m

I tried to add them all up and it gave me zero. Is there an easy way to strip all the "m"s from that cloumn so i get a value?

Thanks.

Data --> Text to columns will sort the second one. Select Delimited then on the next frame 'other' and put in an 'm'.

The first one I'm sure you can do the same way, let me have a much around.

Edit - Yeah do the same thing to seperate out the time only and you can add or subtract it etc.

If I haven't explained well Google a walk through on Text to Columns.
