Fiesta XR4
Anyone had any experiences with the Fiesta XR4's, I've been offered a 07 XR4 with 45,000k's on it for a swap for my XR8 and I'm fricken tempted. The book value of the XR4 is higher than my xr8, allthough my Xr8 has a lot of mods, it is also off the road and requires a couple of grand to get it back on the road again.
So, just wondering if anyone has had nany experiences with them, good or bad?

Dude.. nah... don't do it! The XR8 is a keeper! One day, there will be no V8 fords and holdens. Keep it in good nick and years down the track you will be glad you kept it.
Edit: And you know what i prefer in cars.. small and girlie for me! but I still think you would regret this move.

Until Exar gets here with his encyclopaedic knowledge, all I really know about these is that they handle well but need more poke. Never driven one, just gleaned that from car mag tests.

Re: Fiesta XR4
I might just also add to this that buy getting rid of the XR8, it will clear room in the shed so I can grab something older to restore, Looking out for an XB Coupe or something similar, would love a Landau if I can find one for a reasonable price, which is doubtful..lol. Or even an XP or XM. So getting rid of this doesn't mean the shed will be without muscle. I still have an Escort Panel van to do up as well as a Patrol to get on the road too, a bit of shed space will help get these going sooner.DexterPunk wrote:Dude.. nah... don't do it! Keep the grunter, in know you said the deal is off but unless it was a Focus RS I wouldn't swap your car for a Fiesta.
Reminds me of a friend of mine who swapped a fairly new SV5000 for a Pulsar SSS. He loved it for about the first few weeks. Then missed the SV.

I think they're great little cars. Very much in the vain of the earlier Renault Sport Clios but not as hardcore. A better daily driver for sure.

too true... for that to happen, you'd have needed a V8 to begin with...DexterPunk wrote:I didn't trade a v8 for them.
