Haha I'm the same!
Been reading the official forum all morning...

I don't get much time on it with a little one around, but I still can't wait to have another run.

Hard to explain, but it just feels right.
iRacing felt odd, rFactor/GTR just felt wrong - especially the pivot point, LFS was great but didn't look or sound the part....

I think we may have a winner here. :tilt:
 Me too!!!

I was keen to try $Racing but after getting & driving this all weekend it can wait...
I'm still not fast compared to a few here but what a hoot it is.
I was telling norbs about it this morning, maybe he will dust of the wheel now.

Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner if the net-code is of the same quality.

Hang on is that the road course and the banking? If so that's a ridiculously, unrealistically fast time.

Dust off the wheel eh. My wheel was so dusty I turfed it LOL Lucky I've got a brand new one sitting in a box in my garage.

Nope. Only the road course is available, so far.

Spent a short time on AC on Saturday, too short. But from what ive sampled im excited that's for sure.
The physics are great, i felt connected with the car and could catch slides easily with out too much guess work.

Ide love to get some ai cracking. I don't have time for iRacing any more and will probably let my sub lapse when it runs out next year. I really hope the ai is the goods and can provide for some hard racing to help tire me over till the kids are a little older and I can get back into league racing again.

Looking forward to building my new computer now. :D

Ah right Flinty thought that must be the case. It's pretty much dead on then, a ninja driver should be doing around 28's.

...and that is the big question mark...I'm sure they'll get it to some decent level, they got nkp up to scratch eventually, but it took way too many tries and it's still not flawless - not nearly as good as LFS or iRacing was/is.
Altho I can already see there's far more customer-interaction from their side, which is a bloody good sign.
Surprise, no sig. Now there is. Or is there?

This game does have a brilliant feel of weight, you tend to know when you're about to get crossed up before it happens.

I was really enjoying the formula abarth, upped a small clip to youtube showing the way it slides.

Too early on turn in so I hopped the curb, which made it rather unsettled when I tried to turn in for the next one. I think it shows rather well the pendulum weight effect, I certainly could have kept that a bit more under control but it's an example.

Loving this sim. I am having so much fun with the Ferarri and Imola. Down to a 1:56:576 now with the standard setup and road tyres. Got in front of the ghost a couple of times but couldn't hold it :)

One thing I didn't like was the standard FOV, I'm not sure why but you can't change it by default, you need to enable the dev settings. Now I have it set much wider and I can hit apexes waaaaay better.

For those that are interested the file is in your steam folder at this location http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index ... -jpg.1108/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

in the assetto_corsa text file, just change

[AC_APPS] ENABLE_DEV_APPS=0 to [AC_APPS] ENABLE_DEV_APPS=1

You then get all the extra apps and stuff on the right hand side of the screen once you're in the car.

FOV can be changed on the fly & in-car without using an app, iirc it is CTRL +/- if not try Shift +/-.
I know one of them works but i had to use the +/- key on my numpad.

Can someone tell me how i get my apps back I think I disabled them some how... :O

I was after a new racing sim as an excuse to dust off my G27, but looking into the cost of iRacing put me off. Saw this on Steam Greenlight, and I'm sold! Buying now.

With the Xbow is there anyway to dial out the front brakes? or all cars for that matter. I seem to be constantly locking the fronts or it could be my shit driving.

Might not be the case, but I find if I dont depress the brake pedal when sitting the pits before I start driving, the brakes are overly sensitive and lock up with a slight touch of the brakes.

Sounds like your pedals aren't keeping their calibration.

I also found they are sensitive in the X-bow.

You can tune the pedal range in the settings, I run my clutch from 0‰ to 85‰ which gives me more travel on engaging / releasing the clutch.
Its basically setting a dead zone.

The other thing you can do is enable ABS if you really need to overcome your shit driving.

Richo, there is a Brake Gamma setting in the Controls - Advanced Tab. I assume that may help?

The Group A E30 and Ferrari F40 on the Hillclimb will both be thoroughly epic.
So looking forward to those.

if it's just the fronts, you can set the brakes towards the rear on most cars...not sure if you can do it on the xbow, but you can on most.
