Awesome Richo!!! You won't be disappointed.
The KTM X-Bow is so, so, so much fun!!!
The Ferrari is an animal which I haven't tamed yet.
The Lotus 49 to me has heaps of grip, well compared to GPL. Can anyone comment on how if feels compared to the iRacing version.
No idea on my lap times I'll post them when I have another run but I did change some cars to semi-slicks, I couldn't help myself after discovering the setting. :D

For those sitting on the fence have a read & look at ISR: http://www.insidesimracing.tv/pc-racing ... lable-now/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I don't agree with Darin's issue with the price tag but that his personal opinion & nothing to do with the actual sim.

by the way who else has gone to the showroom & hopped into the car?
The doors open & you can pan around 360' using your mouse while inside the cockpit.

Imola
Ferrari 458: 1.58.156
BMW E92 M3: 2.06.048

Magione
KTM X-Bow R: 1.20.540
Should we start another thread to post our times?

Maybe the mods could setup a whole Assetto Corsa thread now?

I've only done a handful of laps at different tracks in different cars and haven't really concentrated on anything yet.
It's got to be 3 years since I had a gaming PC & I upgraded in anticipation of this coming out.....I'm sure I will be way off the pace.

Geez the Formula Abarth around Vallelunga is a hoot. :)
1.38.7 there so far.

You shouldn't need to do anything. Steam takes care of it all automatically :) Just right click on the game in your library, select properties, select updates and make sure you have selected "Always keep this game up to date"
Righteous wrote:Did you play with the setup at all Giz? I did that on the stock setup with normal street tyres.
No setup changes yet. Only used default and street tyres.

I think the update broke my game as it was working last night...

I have a GTX 260 card and now the game is telling me my card isn't compatible with the software and i need a DirectX 10.1 card. Even tho ive got DirectX 11 installed...

Have you tired searching their forums with the exact error message? They are really pretty quick in replying to issues.

Your GTX 260 only supports DirectX 10.0 and isn't supported "officially" by AC anymore. You might need to upgrade your card if Kuno's decided to completely can anything under 10.1

Anywho a workaround:

go to "system/cfg/dx11.ini"

this line:

ALLOW_UNSUPPORTED_DX10=0 ; UNSUPPORTED USE AT YOUR OWN RISK

becomes

ALLOW_UNSUPPORTED_DX10=1 ; UNSUPPORTED USE AT YOUR OWN RISK

My Lap Times so far using default sets on Pro setting using H-Shift, not really trying for lap times.

Lotus Elise Sc - Magione - 1:27.74
Lotus Type 49 - Monza 66 - 1:38.784
KTM X-Bow - Magione - 1:22.496
KTM X-Bow - Silverstone Int - 1:21.676
F-Abarth - Silverstone Int - 1:12.148
Ferrari 459 - Vallelunga - 1:58.808 (Don't think I ever did do a clean lap)

ok you sucked me in :)

Really enjoyed the L49 at Monza 66. Did a 1.33.xxx after a couple of laps.

using pro setting and also the h shift is a nice feeling.

looking forward to the hill climb track release. I never really got in to that in NetKar but am keen on point to point racing.

Thanks heaps for that workaround. That fixed it. :)

I only purchased AC to see what physics are like really. Ive been putting off building a new computer for about 6 months now, going to wait a few more and keep stashing cash. I was going to build a pc to run triple 27"s but im also keen to wait till the Rift is out of development and build a rig to run it instead. Im in no rush, kids come first atm.

Yep it seems for many users AA isn't functioning at all or incorrectly.
I'm hopeful that's my issue & gets fixed asap as it seems they are aware & recognise it as a bug.

It's great to see they've worked hard all weekend on fixing the show-stoppers.
Let's hope this release cycle continues unabated.

Yeah, I found turning off HDR lighting fixed a lot of my vision problems. It's much, much, crisper. compared to when it's on.

But yes, AA is not working properly. Not biggie, It'll get fixed.

Regardless of iRacing this is will be a keeper in my books. Just for the physics alone this is worth the price of admission.

If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you finally have enough horsepower.

It's great fun indeed! only 1:37.068 but having heaps of fun :)

loving the time attack mode, it requires both speed & consistency. Almost like a real race :)

Ok so i'm at work and I can think about is doing laps when I get home. I think I'm addicted.

I started a thread in the Aussie iRacing forum. It's interesting to see the mixed reviews it's getting and peoples different opions. I'm nearly tempted to call them "Fanboi's".....

Haha I'm the same!
Been reading the official forum all morning...

I don't get much time on it with a little one around, but I still can't wait to have another run.

Hard to explain, but it just feels right.
iRacing felt odd, rFactor/GTR just felt wrong - especially the pivot point, LFS was great but didn't look or sound the part....

I think we may have a winner here. :tilt:
