Despite not being into that heavy side of music, I am kicking myself for not making it to Soundwave this year. I can appreciate the talent in most of the acts.
The whole festival thing has died off for me though, but that may have been because I played at a shit festival and BDO in 2010 was affected by personal events.
Also, festivals are generally quieter than gigs. I remember my ears were fine after BDO.
