Just rebooted my cable and wireless modems and got this result at Optus speed test! Yowsers!

That would be nearly 7MB/s ... lol you got the NBN already or something?

Just tested at a couple of speed test sites, and those speeds are replicating. No idea what's going on - they are double or more what I usually get!

Couple of months back my Optus cable seemed to speed up. I was uploading at about 500KB/s and downloads were faster... Around 2500KB/s. I think they may have accidentally gave me the speed pack for a couple of weeks or something. It's back to normal now. It was nothing like the speeds you're getting though. I'd like to know how that's happening, and why i can't have that.

holy fuck, i reckon Optus would still find a way to make youtube buffer though. Hows it been on international sites Smith? I find Optus is so up and down for me at night time.

It was fast as even for overseas. Seems to have dropped back to about 10.25MB/s tonight. It was 22 earlier. Pity.

Neil, i'd suggest you sign up HERE and post in the broadband section with your issues. I had issues with my connection which were related to congestion. Took a while but it was fixed and now works faster than ever.

Yep, can't work it out. Currently downloading DCS World at just under 4 MB/sec. Loving it while it lasts...
