Minecraft has moved back to Astro's Server
Hey folks, Astro has been kind enough to host the Minecraft server again for us now that our run with Stipe is up, if you need the address just send me a pm, or for those with a memory, it's the same address as it used to be.

Notice: Service Disruption
The server will be down for the rest of the day because of modifications to the room it's housed in (new entertainment surround going in). I'll try to get it back online as soon as I can, but this might not be till late tonight.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Good thinking Astro, need Tekkit up and running before you can join guys. Let us know when you have that sorted and I can send the IP, usual rules apply, don't touch others stuff, especially so in Tekkit.
Initially it will seem stupidly overwhelming with the amount of stuff there it to do, that feeling will pass eventually.

I have tekkit installed and ready to go, I have had a look at tekkit before and know how complicated it looks. Now the only thing to do is for someone to pm me the ip.

Re: Minecraft has moved back to Astro's Server
Just a heads up, I'll be upgrading the server from Windows 7 to Windows 8 soon. During this time the server will be offline. Note that the reason I'm upgrading the server is because it also acts as my HTPC and the move to Windows 8 will improve that experience.
I'll post again once I know when I'll be installing the upgrade.

Re: Minecraft has moved back to Astro's Server
Who says we will ever be done with Tekkit?
In all seriousness life after Tekkit looks pretty bleak for me, I'll be surprised if I'll ever enjoy vanilla MC again, you can only build so much, and the features they are adding are pretty bloody boring in my opinion, I wish the devs would get the API finished so some talented people can go to town on Minecraft mods to keep the game going.

Been playing vanilla lately and it's pretty hard to go back. I really miss my turtles
I'm trying to build one of those beacons in survival but it's taking forever. You need 3 wither skeleton heads to make the wither boss, but wither skeletons only have a 1/40 chance of dropping a head. They spawn in nether fortresses near blazes, so they're a bitch to kill as well.

Had the power go out a few times last night, haven't had a chance to see if the minecraft server is ok yet. Let me know if it's in need of repairs.

Re: Minecraft has moved back to Astro's Server
Update: In case you guys didn't know, the Minecraft server has been running from a Virtual Machine on my main system for a few days now (previously running on my HTPC/Gaming/Server). As a user you probably haven't noticed any difference, but for myself and the admins (NeilPearson & SHoNKY), it should make it easier to manage going forward. With the added bonus of full remote system access for a select few.
Now for the important information, sometime between Thursday night and Sunday, I'll be moving the Virtual Machine to my HTPC/Gaming/Server. Which over the downtime has had a hardware upgrade and new OS installed. But apart from the downtime to transfer the data, you shouldn't notice any difference.
Technical Details
Previous Hardware (not virtualized)
