Yeah it was an ARSEpain but to their credit they did announce that it would do that prior to releasing the update.

Sector 3 Studios has added the hillclimbing monster, the Carlsson SLK 340. Check it out in this video, and give it a free test drive in RaceRoom Racing Experience.
The newly-released Carlsson SLK 340 Hillclimb car is also part of a new Hillclimb pack which also includes the RaceRoom HillClimb track for 199vRP.

Racing Tuner Carlsson has been expertly tuning Mercedes-Benz products for more than 20 years. The Carlsson SLK 340 Judd is meant for hill climb competition in the E1 category. The high downforce SLK uses a carbon-fiber bodyshell to bring its weight to 1,720 pounds. This hill climb monster is powered by a 3.4-liter V8 engine, which churns out 610 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque connected to a Hewland transmission operated by paddle shifters.

I'm going to be all over this when it's released. :D
Sector3 Studios released a preview video showing their upcoming DTM 1992 pack for RaceRoom Racing Experience.
In this video, we can follow Georg “6e66o” Ortner in a DTM 1992 race at the Nürburgring, fighting the wheel of his Mercedes 190 DTM against a pack of legendary German touring cars such as the Mercedes 190E 2.5-16 Evo2, Audi V8 Quattro Evolution and the BMW M3 Sport Evolution.
We all know Georg is a master in dressing up the videos and giving it that little extra when editing footage. It was no different in this production. The video is presented as a 90’s videotape recorded TV broadcast. Brilliant!
The developer announced that the R3E DTM 1992 pack will be released in one of the coming weeks.

Not to be out done by the likes of AC... seems "The Green Hell" is every sims cup of tea these days.
Sector 3 Studios has chosen to also end the year with a bang, announcing a very famous track addition that is due to join the simulation in 2015 – The Nürburgring Nordschleife. Not only will R3E feature the world’s most famous race track, it will also be the first track inside R3E to be made using laser-scan data.

The track features 12 turns on a hilly course with 49 m / 160 feet of elevation changes.

I've had a play around with race racing raceroom race racing experience and actually found it very enjoyable.

So much so that I bought the WTCC pack. This sim, easily, has the best and most immersive sound of any the sims floating around at the moment in my opinion.

That BMW pro car is pretty dam close to the best sounding sim car ever.

To me, their pricing structure is how iRacing should be. If you're going to make me pay for content, don't make me pay for a sub.

It probably won't ever get to the popularity level of AC, but if there was ever a night people felt like giving the WTCC's are whirl online, I'm up for it.

Yep I own all the R3E content bar a couple of the skin packs, I agree the pricing structure is much more affordable plus they have lots of sales & package discounts now.
I don't think I've paid more than 50% of the regular vRP for any of it. ;)
I too really enjoy it especially for an offline bash, the AI are also pretty good.
I also like how they have ladderboards that doesn't require any special login/app just do a hotlap & it records your PB & informs you in-game.
It has improved significantly in the past year, especially since they changed to become Sector3. Yes the sounds are sublime.
I'd be up for some online action, I guess it would be good to know how many of us actually have it & what content we each own?

I actually haven't fired it up for months... I think it was still Simbin when I last gave it a go. I should have another look.

Well, as mentioned. I have WTCC pack, but also have the Hill climb pack. I'm certainly open to dropping 10 or 15 on another pack. The classic DTM cars are pretty fun to drive.

I love the fact that you can test drive all the cars before you buy them too. Very cool feature.

I was watching a replay a little while back too and noticed the game has tyre wall flex! I always loved that about LFS.

It's subtle, but you can see it in this vid I captured.

RRRRRREE seems to have disappeared from the Steam store.

I was moving it from my SSD onto HDD and could no longer find it in the store to reinstall it. I did manage to sort out the reinstallation via another method, though.

Sector3 Studios is currently working on a new car to join the GTR2 class in RaceRoom Racing Experience. The Cadillac CTS-V will be a welcomed guest when joining the already available machinery in R3E. In the included preview video, we can watch Sector3 staff member Georg Ortner perform a lap in the WIP Cadillac CTS-V at the Sonoma Raceway.

The development team also announced that the whole RaceRoom Racing Experience GTR2 class will get a physics update. Marko Hartikainen is working on bringing the physics to the current standards. Furthermore, the choice of liveries will be expanded, providing a more immersive grid.
