I know I'm preaching to the converted here but try tell me this is not on another level to the AC mod track, it has elevation & banking irl.

As with Shanghai, there’s no set release date other than it will be available for purchase soon.

You buying just for your own interest or cause you thinking you need content for when arse has online sessions.Enforcer-J wrote:What should I buy if I dont wanna spend any more than $25?
As norbs said for now online we would just use a server with default content so there's no need to purchase. There's also no dedi server option available with R3E yet.
If your buying for your own interest the check out the content packs. They offer the best value for money. I'd suggest the DTM 92 pack & the European Track Pack.
The ADAC GT Masters (GT3) &/or GT2 packs are also very good.
The cars in all the packs have the latest physics which is a step up from the others.

Re: Raceroom experience
I'm loving the 90s DTMs at Bathurst. I did an AI race there yesterday and was very impressed. The cars sound so different. It was awesome belting the mustang around the mountain chasing down a merc with a couple of beemers on my tail.
Without a doubt, it's more forgiving than AC, but it was it's own challenges and it's very fun to drive.
I picked up the 90s DTM pack, Europe tracks, American Tracks, DTM 2014 experience, Bathurst, WTCC and the BMW Procar pack, cos I love the sound of that thing.
Seems like there's a little pickup audience online too. Had a couple of servers last night with some OK racing.

Re: Raceroom experience
Was looking for both reasons but more so for offline racing as AC AI is bloody terrible!
I prefer classic series so DTM92 might be a goer. I cant make my mind up on trackpacks, Id rather the American pack as I havent driven them much but doesnt go with the DTMs!

Re: Raceroom experience
Don't forget with some packs (experiences) you get tracks, which may be worth it if you're set on the American Track Pack.
I think you would also have a few of these tracks if you own the DTM's, so the packs below will be reduced further as they remove the price of items (tracks) you already own.
ADAC GT Masters 2014
Circuit Park Zandvoort
EuroSpeedway Lausitz
Red Bull Ring Spielberg
Sachsenring
Hockenheimring
Nürburgring
Slovakia Ring
Motorsport Arena Oschersleben
WTCC 2014
Monza Circuit
Hungaroring
Suzuka Circuit

This has been the big thing for me. I can race off line and it is actually fun. The adaptive AI really gives you some good racing, with some super fast guys and some slower racers.
If they can nail the multiplayer (and it looks great so far), I can see me racing R3E a lot more.

Re: Raceroom experience
I thought I'd see how I compare to everyone else on the Audi competition. Setting up my wheel was a royal pain in the arse, and once set up I'm finding the FFB a bit punishing. I think I managed 19th in AU and many seconds off the pace. I didn't spend any time tweaking settings, but I clearly need to do something. The turning angle on the wheel feels way off for one thing.
