On demand electric HWS

Anyone know anything about on demand hot water services? I mean the tankless ones.

I know the vast majority of them are gas rather than electric but I don't have a gas option at my place. It's electricity or nothing.

I have a Rheem unit which needs to be serviced or replaced but given how much space it takes up, I'd like to put in something smaller if I can.

Anyone know where I can find them?

Also need advice on how much they cost to run and how well they work.

This is going to come off as a bit smart-arsey.... but why else would you come to ARSE?

Yeah, thanks Montey. I'd already looked but nothing like that had come up before.

I just wanted to know if anyone here has used or installed them. Looks like some of them are connected to 3-phase which would probably kybosh the idea.

I doubt if my body corporate would allow it.

Stiebel eltron are the only decent electric instantaneous units around. Don't buy anything else. Go to a Reece store. There are 3 phase and single phase models available. I'd get some info for ya but in on holidays

Thanks Hz.

I have been advised by a plumber who has installed these things that three-phase is the only way to go.

Unfortunately, that is not an option for me. :(

I'd still be interested in seeing what these things are like so I'll look them up.

There's a Reece's near me.
