I usually judge a photo based on the theory "could I have taken that photo?"

I reckon there is only 3 in there I would have trouble replicating given the chance at the given locations.

The 1st, 4th and 5th are ordinary. I have seen loads better in our Cool Photos thread.

I hear what you're saying... Although I think a lot of the talent comes from recognising the opportunity to capture the photo. Others without an eye for it may let it slip, or not think of the same angle or composition. After the fact, sometimes it seems more obvious. In most situations you could say you could replicate the image given the same location/circumstances.

Having said that, I still haven't had a chance to see those shots yet.

The fourth one is the only one I really don't like.

The others are good.

The 8th one is a bit reminiscent of something Peter Lik would shoot, albeit with a bigger camera.
