All great points you made Sars. The 2nd episode was very much what you said. It needs to improve & get the main story happening from now otherwise I feel it'll be a flop in the minds of the true SW fan.

I watched the 3rd episode last night and I think it's finally started to kick up a gear, I think a lot of the same issues are still present but the second half of the episode created some good tension and ended on a high note. I'll continue with it but I do wonder how far the story is going to progress with eight episodes total, we're almost half way now already.

It seems to have almost universal praise from most of the SW fanbase.

I stopped after episode 3, there's so many good tv shows I've never watched as I don't have the time so why continue with something so mediocre.

Early reviews for TRS are not good, not unsurprising at all, after Rian Johnson took a big dump on everything set up in TFA it was always going to be a struggle to cobble together some sort of conclusion to the story. Even Chris Stuckman struggled to find good things to say about it.

Anyway don't let me dampen anyone's enthusiasm for the new movie, I just won't ever give Disney another cent of my money.

Critics are hating it but I liked it. Too much fan service and of course it was wrapped up nicely but it felt like Star Wars in a way that the Last Jedi did not. What's really weird is how most of those same critics think TLJ was really good.

As ever, Red Letter Media provide a service to anyone despairing at the film industry and the shady promotion for TRS in particular:

Some of our work people got to see it early, and the poor bastard that has been walking me through The Mandalorian, a massive SW freak, said it was terrible. Weird how some love it and others hate it. It seems to be love or hate right now. Not many people saying it is just ok.

That isnt the end of the Madarin man is it? Tell me there is more....

Sometimes I look forward to a Half in the Bag review more than the film itself :D

Their Ghostbusters 2016 review is perfect, explaining why it's just objectively a bad film without getting into the politics.

And it's so nice to watch a YouTube video that isn't the "HEY GUYS LOOK WHAT I'VE JUST SPENT LOADS OF MONEY ON BUY MY TSHIRT".

Went and saw it on Monday, it was good, the start was really Disjointed. it was to fast a Pace for me.

but the ending and how it all got wrapped up sold the film.

I knew his voice from the start and had to google it early on so I kinda ruined the surprise for me.

I saw the movie last week and was underwhelmed by it, a bit flat. I did enjoy it but it's lost it's hold on me that it once had. I think it's because it's the last of the Lucas story line and after watching the Mandarin and accessing other story lines in games and such, I'm more interested in stuff beyond that original story line. Episode VII had a bigger impact on me than IX.

I think IX suffered from having to follow VIII and fix up all the rubbish that movie bought in.
