Can only have 1 faction per server now though, and i cant decide which!

from what i can tell:
Firepower= NC>VS>TR
Rate of fire= TR>VS>NC
Accuracy= VS>NC+TR

so im thinking NC but i was getting steamrolled in beta all the time...sigh, i dont see why there isnt just an hour lock or something on changing factions...might even suck up the queer look and go Vanu haha

well, finally got in. Epic. Huge. Not sure what it'll be like when I finally start to understand things, but so far it's impressive.

I swapped to the Vanu, everything about them seems a bit pansy but man i had fun flying the Scythe around tonight. Its extra maneuverable and i flew around with one ship for over half an hour, doing hit and runs, stunt flying and whatnot. Also when i first jumped in and it threw me into combat i killed 8 guys before i got taken down, personal record in this game and thats after a few beers....so think i'll stay with the pansies for now

NC for life.

Mostly because that's what TOG are running. We run around with 2-3 fu'll squads with tanks, infantry and air cover. Had one epic battle in one of the bio domes. All three factions slugging it out for over two hours.

Just jumped on to screw around, i fly my Scythe around deep under enemy lines destroying turrets for cheap points
So was on Amerish and us Vanu only had our main/start building so was easy for me to get around un-noticed.
A friend jumped on so we started helping the assault then decided to jump ship to the minor cap points, got into some good fights so was def guys around until we decided to skip one area and hit the next further down, which was the bottom cap on the map. Kept getting hit by sporadic small assaults but held off until our guys took the previous point and successfully cut a good chunk of the TR's resources off.


Man the TR did not like that!
Over the space of maybe 45 mins, just 2 of us, with no vehicles held off a 5 tank assault, took down 3 small squads of guys drop shipping in and a bucket-load of lone/duo heros trying to sort us out.
Finally a galaxy arrived, with MAX's and the like to boot us out but wow we really had a ball holding off our little outpost!

Seems a few off iRacing are Vanu as well, including Emerson, aka Marf and his work-mates (Good Game team)

Dunno if you were just playing, (only a few of us lucky/unlucky day players) but we just got STEAMROLLED by the TR, had multiple 4 squad strong platoons but no command structure or direction, was plain embarrassing lol...we now have pretty much our command area in the corner of the map on Indar

Played some more last night, VS was cornered on all maps on the Aussie sever. By the end of the session we got the full control of the map on all 3 continents.

Grabbed this and kicked it off last night. Playing NC. No idea what I'm doing, but it's fun as hell. Feels like mass scale Tribes. Something I'm nostalgic for!

Actually applying anything you buy with certs is one, a mate had bought a bunch but hadn't actually put the stuff on his guy haha! i'm personally saving up for the "Ghost" sniper rifle for my Infiltrator.

Yeah I did that too. Didn't realise you needed to apply it to your guy/vehicle/gun. Also you only have 1 slot for certain things was something I worked out later once I wasted a bunch of certs.

All good though, I've gotten a pretty good hang of what's going on now on a larger scale which is cool. I'm enjoying it a lot at the moment.

Actually most of us are Vanu, methinks. Don't spread the false promise of long life in NC here! Future tech for the win!

I'm slowly getting to grips with the basics, too
Had a great night yesterday, first we were pushed back at one point, huge battle and everything, then once we were beaten out of there somehow the populace moved in a concentrated manner from point to point and we took back half the map.

Epic battles.

And now I know you'll want to attack generators first.


Oh another tutorial, half an hour helps heaps if you're just starting, I think.

well i just learned a lesson.
Wanted to upgrade my sniper rifle, saw the ghost had faster reload speed over the XM98 (or something) so saved up the extra 150 to get it. then buy it and realise you cant attatch the big scopes 8x-12x and such, think max is 3.4 and it doesnt come with a scope at all, so got myself a nice plain rifle now, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
So lesson is, check what attachments each item can get before getting them.
