B T W 4.37 is now on the server.

Bauer, its why i have the spaces in the B T W when i type it

I can't even get it to install anymore. Every time I download and try to extract the shit out of it into minecraft.jar I get told it's corrupt. Downloaded it a dozen times in different browsers, no luck.

I'll wait until the next map reset.

Have you tried downloading the minecraft.exe again? That's the only reason I can think of that might cause corrupt downloads.

I've done that as many times as the mod itself. The corruption is in the mod when I try to copy files out of into minecraft.jar.

When I do it I extract the original minecraft.jar to a folder, copy in the necessary files, make a zip of the folder contents and rename it to minecraft.jar. Trying to copy direct from the mod zip into the jar went screwy for me.

1.4.5 with b t w 4.37. I haven't done mcpatcher on it. I'm wondering if that's related to my not getting arcane scrolls. I read optifine can screw them up.

I just dump the contents into the jar using WinRAR with it set to Add and Replace mode.

That's all I do. Dump modloader first, then run MC. Then dump B T W and Im all good.

We now have rail going from the edge of the desert near spawn to my place and down most of the way to Bauers. Need to sort out the intersection and make it go all the way to a station at spawn.

Oh cool. I'll have to set a room to see if I can kill a few. Need ghast tears for the regeneration potion but I didn't have any luck getting them in the nether.

Did you know you can get white stone/cobble now? You mine out the "end sand" ,put it through a Hopper and you get it. Only one issue with that...

Thanks to way the current version does mob drops I have one block of end stone, dropped by an enderman. Can also get brimstone from it if you put it in a kiln. You need brimstone, nitre and coal dust to make gunpowder.

I'm planning to have another crack at the end. Need more scrolls first

Might do suicide runs with just a bow, dirt, and the ender spectacles to take out the towers without risking too much gear. Then when that's done go in with a composite bow and armour to take on the dragon. Another option would be to take in buckets of water to cover the surface and make safe zones from the endermen that way.

I'm going to have to find you guys when you are on next, I don't even know where the stronghold is yet, and I can help with being some cannon fodder if you like.

Yeah I'll help aswell. See if we can get 4-5 of us in the end.

This worked. Had to be a pretty large room for them to spawn inside it though. I ended up with a 20x20x10 room with the hopper placed in the middle of the floor.

how is B T W going for everyone? Im finding it hard to be motivated. No doubt a big part of it was coming from Tekkit (and only just getting in to it) and part from watching my son and what he is doing in Tekkit.

Im just not sure what I am going to achieve from B T W.

Kill a wither boss

That will require hunting/farming wither skeletons for the heads (killing with a soulforged axe gives a greater chance of head drops) and ghasts for potions of regeneration.

Preferably composite bow + broadhead arrows, a soulforged steel weapon, diamond or plate armour. Getting all those crafted and enchanted would be an achievement in itself as it would require a decent sized mob grinder to get the scrolls/experience.

Got myself onto the server. Haven't tried much of the mod out yet but it looks like fun. Making bread is a challenge now. Shouldn't have probably put myself on an island to begin with.
