So, it seems, my Son might have a sort of sponsorship with Moot.
And so, there was the 29" specialized MTB stumpjumper in the shed, doing nothing, the carbon version was being refitted as a single speed...

So I went for a short ride, for the first time in 25 years.
10 Km's, fcuk it hurt, my reactions and reflexes suck dog balls.
I had to sit in a chair for 2 hours after it was over, never, ever again...

Then 2 days later I did 12 Km's, I had to have a lie down and a cold drink after. "This is stupid".

Then a day later 8 gentle Km's. Happy after.

Then another 10 the next day...

So in the days I don't go to the Gym, I have a quick fang around the local MTB river course.

Then on Xmas eve I did Kyle's course he made in the local forest MTB park. And wanted to die afterwards.
Then I got a Giant wireless speedo / distance thingy for Xmas. Now its a big thing.

And I blame you lot, for making it seem easy, rewarding and fun.

It's not easy, it's not rewarding, and it's fcuking not fun.

I'm going out again tomorrow. Early.
