Yeah not good is it. I think it's now 6 incidents in a week. Airbus must be laughing their heads off.

And contracting so many different elements to companies all round the world & thinking it will just fit together with no issues. Boeing cock up I say. :(

I do a bit of work for Boeing in Port Melbourne. talking to the guys there that make the carbon fibre rear wings, only 1 in 5 come out ok. The rest get scrapped at $25k a piece. No wonder these things cost so much lol

I take it the one that worked was built on a Tuesday?

New aircraft...highly complex...a few bugs...

They'll sort it out. The A350 is also expected to enter service in the middle of next year.

Anyone want to take any bets on it being delayed?

The A380 was three years late and so was the B787.

Are they trying to make flying exciting again with this spontaneously combusting plane?

Seems not to be a repeat of last time:
Several aviation experts have suggested that the fire appears to have broken out some distance from the two batteries.

Hmm...interesting.

Someone else told me they heard it was cargo related but I found that hard to believe because of the location of the scorch marks.

Air con sounds more plausible.
