was thinking the same....

Got my new city cranking a bit more last night, another Nuclear Reactor but this time I have some schools so maybe they wont suddenly become dumb again..... trying to stockpile some cash so if it goes to blow I can switch it off and run an alternate power source

One of many dumb questions but how do you get cash flow happening quickly?

I'd say look underground, be it coal or ore, mine the crap out of it and export for quick $$$. Just be mindful you need something to go on with once the finite resource runs or you'll go broke quick.

In the unlikely even you have no oil nor ore in your city. Try dropping an expo building. It costs a bit to stage an even, but you should easily make that back and more. You can schedule an even every day and make money. You won't make as much as say processors etc, but it's still an income source.

This has happened to me a few times. If you get re-invited, you should be able to enter your city again

As long as traffic can get there. We've got some "problems" in arseville

Found my way back in via the message log in the main menu.

I've been experimenting and if you have a train stop you can make heaps off tourists if you lay the tourist stuff in a row.

I put train station, arc de triomphe then the expo center. People pile in from the train and walk to the expo center past the arc which makes it generate 32k/day. It all pulls in about 180+k/day in a city of 57,000. I added a leaning tower next to the arc but it seemed to split the revenue between them, so I wasn't earning any extra money.

People not having to go by road seems to help the events get full revenue as well. I tried to use the event center on the middle of my arseville city and I couldn't make a profit.

Drop a el'cheapo casino in there.

The expensive casino's are bugged and don't generate any profit.

I've got one that's making about 5-8k/day. I need to redesign my city to get things laid out better. It's just random atm.

Something I've noticed is that sick people walk to the hospital. I'm spending $1600/hour to have 10 ambulances sitting there doing nothing and complaints that there are a lot of sick people. If you spend 3 days walking across town instead of calling an ambulance you deserve to suffer :irked:

Fucking tornado hit my nuclear plant and caused it to blow in the space of about 15 seconds. I got the warning that it was going to blow about 2 seconds before it went. 90% of industry gone, water polluted, city fucked :(

That sucks Daz, while I think of it, on the sick people not using ambulances, that's normal, injured people get the ambos, sick people just chuck a sickie and walk home from work, I found the best plan of attack for this is find the source of the sickness (usually their job) and put a clinic as close to it as you can.

I tried to rename my city to Fukushima but it got done by the swearing filter, lol. Land of the free, home of the brave.

Also, when my population was around 190k people started using taxi's and my traffic problems went away. As soon as it dropped down again everyone started driving and my city is gridlocked again.

I think it is about 20years for the Radioactive stuff to go away in game.

I have a joke for you. I have a prediction that you are going to walk into a bar, my prediction was wrong and your wallet is gone.

Servers/Areas do have limited spaces.
