What colour is the boathouse at Hereford?
Saw Ronin the other night for the first time (no idea why I hadn't caught it before). What a film! Must be the best heist film ever; and so very quotable.

Cracking Film!!! Car chases alone are just brilliant.

It would be one of my All time top flims.
Some play it safe on the merry-go-round, others go for the thrills of the roller-coaster.

It's not bad. Has to be compared with The Italian Job (1969), The Bank Job, The Taking of Pelham One, Two, Three (1974), How to Steal a Million, The Thomas Crown Affair (1968) and The League of Gentlemen (1960). Better than some, not as good as others.
But for suspense alone, the best heist film I've seen is Jean-Pierre Melville's Le Cercle Rouge (1970). The robbery sequence is virtually without dialogue for about 20 minutes and has people running around on the rooves of the Place Vendome in Paris. You don't need clever one-liners when you can build suspense like that.

Some people will find it slow. That's Melville's style and I like it.
Today's explosion & CGI-addicted, ADD-affected audience would leave after 10 minutes. At least the rest of us would be able to enjoy it in peace.
