He's a pussy! Could of at least stayed around for the team TT to get Froom a good start.. Especially after Froom dragged him over the mountains last year!

Interesting that one of the Sky staff said he should draw inspiration from cuddles!

Too right.. At least Evans always gives 100%

Good to see that the original Tour Down Under obscure pro, Arthur Vichot, will be sporting the french national champions colours for the Tour de France

Sorry mate, I cant be arsed with tipping comps. I have had so many people ask me to pimp theirs on the blog it is madness.

Maybe if i was better at them I would have a crack. :)

One of the more crazy races I've seen. :faint:

Very exciting start to the tour. Wonder how this one is going to affect the main contenders?

Near to the end, there was a bit of confusion about where the finish was due to the GreenEDGE bus being caught under the finish sign, hence blocking the finish. The race was then directed to finish at the 3km mark with about 10 minutes left in the race. This resulted in a change of pace which ended up catching out a lot. The bus was finally freed meaning they would use the original finish line but a pretty big accident ended up taking out a lot of the top competitors in the peloton. Despite the crash being outside the 3km's from the original finish, they determined that it was within the 3km from the finish that was directed to them at the time so all riders were given the same time.

Basically, the last 15 minutes was absolutely chaotic. :yikes:

if you're in Melbourne during the TDF and looking for a group ride, you could test ride a Look 695:

Far out, is the whole of the sky team on drugs? Seeing Froome and Porte put minutes between themselves and the best climbers in the world I couldn’t help but think it's all artificially assisted.

That was pretty amazing. Froome is classy though. I worry about Sky and Movistar who have ridden a three-week race in a couple of days. Should open the door for other teams. Pity BMC looks fragile again this year.
