Nice Kev - some crackers in there. Love the one hand on the wheel look above!

Fantastic Shots Kev.

Very jealous of you seeing such prestige automobiles operating at their limits.

I got to sit in a 1953 Staride Mk3 - Manx Norton :)
I got chatting to the driver and he said, go on, get in and try it out for size. So I did :)
It's this one

Amazing little cars. A little bit like a gokart with bigger wheels (very GPL!). You sit with your feet just ahead of the front axle and so low I could put my hand flat on the grass. The pedals are only half the width of your foot and the clutch travel was about an inch and a bit! As the cockpit is so open and you're so close to the front wheel it must be a doddle to place it on the apex. Love to have a drive but you feel very exposed in it and the gear stick is outside the car! As for dials he only had a rev counter, starter and electrics buttons and a fuel cut off. Very neat.

Might be to cut the timing beam?

Yes they are.
It's so all the cars have a set point at the front to cut the timing beams so there's no ambiguity about the first part of the car to cross the line.
