I doubt I would get a vote through on these forums, let alone a national consensus. :)
I wouldn't vote for you for PM.

But I probably would vote for you as El Presidente!

Had a look at the PDF doco and I reckon the Libs will get in and it will end up as shown on the last page with them keeping FTTH and some cost reductions

Jamo, can't believe what I'm seeing from you about this - do you think Telstra are going to fix the problem that our mate has? I don't think so

Plus, you're on Telstra cable - so for the foreseeable future you are fine, the rest of us on shitty ADSL2+ with a max download of 500kbs are struggling today

I bought a game off Steam last week - took a full day and a half to download and I couldn't do anything else with my internet while it was downloading - there are so many reasons why this has to happen and not due to today's usage of the internet - tomorrow is another story and we need to be ready for it

The greatest advantages of the NBN are what it offers in terms of future-proofing and eBusiness and eCommerce.

so who'd have to be involved for it to happen? Telstra? Been there. Optus? Same. vodafone? Can't even get their wireless right. ... so who the hell then? And how long should we wait for it to happen?
good questions ? :)

If there's enough demand there will eventually be supply. It's only worked that way in Capitalistic Systems for like I dunno... Forever.

I think that's not true. Wild capitalism isn't providing for the needs, but rather for the business opportunities. It's good to a point, only.
But let's not go into ideology; just answer my question :)

Edit: oh and that forever would be the last 150 years or so...

Why not Jamo? It is vital infra structure.

I am doing a tiny photography job for the local skin cancer clinic. One of the doctors was saying they could diagnose people at home with the cameras on most smart phones if they had faster connections. Seemed like a big claim to me, so I questioned him and he said that was just a tiny thing that would be of benefit. He then went on to list a stack of medical things that could be improved with faster internet. I had no idea of most of what he was saying, but I also had no idea the health system could use fast internet in that way.

He was obviously an advocate, but he reckons it would pay for itself in health benefits before it was finished. Another wild suggestions, so I asked about it. Let's just say that a 15 minute visit turned into about 2 hours. :) I wasn't aware just what a melanoma can turn into.

The up shot of all this. I would love to know more about the benefits to the health industry.

Oh, and get those moles checked out.

I certainly don't consider home insulation vital infra structure. That was to stimulate the economy. It certainly wasn't the best run program in the world. But it seems to be the go to for the right leaning people who want to dump shit on the current administration.

Well I don't expect you to agree with me. We certainly have opposing thoughts on most things.

One thing I love about Elections is getting to take the piss out of the loathsome maggots otherwise known as Politicians. So far I've.

A. Asked the now infamous Miss Scott if she would like to take part in some 'informal polling'
B. Acted like the Labor douche approaching me was asking for directions and putting on my best bogan accent said "Yeaaah mayyyte centrelinks over there"
C. Allowed some Green numbnuts to bail me up looked at his flyers, looked at him then back at the flyers and said"Mate watcha doing, save the Farken trees!" Whilst he was off balance I asked him if he had any weed. Look on his face broke me up. Fave so far LOL :)

funny, I got the same result :) 2% only, but still.

I got ~50% for each. So I'd say I don't agree with anyone, really. But that maybe due to me being almost in the middle both economically and socially, with a small lean to left.

64% LNP
49% ALP
33% HIP

Last time I was slightly left now I'm apparently slightly right... Yeah whatever. I'm also struggling to think of anything I'd agree with the Greens on. Maybe the Dental into Medicare thing is that their policy?

Still hoping to run into Rudd man I'd enjoy that, haven't even seen the Candidates from my own seat.
