Shifty fuckers!!! We got the letter from labor during the week.

AEC warns voters to ‘think twice’ before giving details to political parties offering to register their postal vote ahead of election
Australian political parties reaching out to you with postal vote registration forms ahead of election day may be just as interested in your personal data as helping you cast a ballot.

Key points:
The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) said had observed a "digital evolution" in parties offering to register postal votes
It encouraged voters to register with it directly instead of through political parties
Liberal and Labor did not respond to ABC questions about their data-harvesting practices

Smith is right. We've been in this position so many times. Labor with a small lead that gets eroded by election day.

I predict that the Libs will win and probably bag an extra seat or two :(

99.5% of Australian voters don't engage in any way in politics (including even paying attention to who is on power) until election day when they make a snap decision based on who knows what. I'm reading these examples of people thinking that somehow Labor is responsible for the current state of the economy; and similar, that are just stunning and make me worry the Libs will be returned.

Delicious seeing the Liberals bleed seats.

Fuck off Josh. Fuck off Tim.

Spud nearly got rolled too. I dont expect Morrison to take any blame for this.

He'll resign.

Interest will now be if Labor can get to 76.

Hopefully we can enter a new era on climate action and see real investment in commercial and domestic renewable energy solutions.

pixelboy wrote: Tue Feb 22, 2022 11:02 am The Liberal slander machine (in conjunction with News Corp) will fire up soon and destroy any confidence that swinging voters have for Labor. It will be timed to perfection so that the Labor vote dips below the liberals for just one weekend..The one that matters.

All will be forgotten and voters will vote with their wallets and self interest.

Happened last election and I predict it will happen again. Although I doubt Sportsbet will pay out early this time
I can't tell you how glad I am to be wrong here.

In fact, I don't think that this election could have gone better.
  • Liberal old boys club got decimated
  • Labor looks like it will get a majority government.. Just.
  • Greens got a good representation
  • Some super smart independents on the cross bench to "keep the bastards honest".
  • Labor trying to drop in Kristina Keneally failed. Hopefully they learn a lesson.
So, IMHO, this is shaping up as the best looking Federal government for almost 40 years.

Expectations are high. Please don't fail us Albo.

And I was wrong, he accepted blame.

I loved how all the politicians on the coverage last night were saying they would prefer a majority government. I hope they dont get a majority. And have to wheel and deal with the others. We might actually get an ICAC with teeth. Im not confident, but man it would be great to see.
