Still some of the most radical, evocative music I've heard. I can still remember the first time I ever heard it. It hit me like a brick to the head. I wasn't really sure I liked it that much at the time but that's not a question I'd bother with now.
I've never really been sure who my favourite guitar player was but David Gilmour would go close. He gets written off by some because he's not technically perfect and he doesn't play at the speed of light. What he has is an ear for melody and harmonics that is hard to beat.
Too bad Rick Wright isn't around any more.
The album stayed in the US charts for 15 years.
