That's kind of where I'm headed too. That or the S6. I would like a 6P but Telstra haven't/aren't going to stock it by the looks and my head hurts when i use my Mrs' S5 because of the crap software it uses.

After having to send in the missus' LG G3 for a warranty claim, they (Telstra) sent back a LG 5X to replace it. She didn't want to learn a new phone, so it's mine to use.

Coming from a LG G3 myself, it feels so small in the hand. I'm still getting used to it, but it seems like a good phone.
Can you comment on battery and external speakers? Nexus battery was never a strong point. The Nexus also had a shit speaker (yes, one)... so it would likely be an upgrade anyway, but still curious.

Haven't really used the external speaker, so can't really say much about it.

Battery life seems rather good with everyday use, SMS, MMS and a bit of 4G usage.

Marshmallow has the new "Doze" feature. And since it uses a USB-C connector, it has rapid charging. My phone is currently at 78%, and according to the indicator on the screen it'll only take 17 minutes to hit 100% charge.

The 6P is amazing. I was drunk one night and ordered it. Sigh.

It's not as weak as everyone is saying, no issues with mine. Marshmallow isn't so much of an upgrade over lolipop that I have noticed. Runs smooth. Much better than the s6 I was using before.

When I first got it I struggled with it.

Now the S6 feels really small. I was worried about it in my jeans pocket but not now.

I like the size. It feels normal.

I wouldn't mind the 6P but it's not on Telstra's list yet and likely not to be. I think I'll have to settle for the 5X.

Sent from my Nexus 5

Great. I get a full days battery out of it with 6hrs of screen on time. Lol.

I got this one through optus and just out my Telstra sim card in. Nexus devices are unlocked.

When I first got it 4g did not work which is why I think Telstra didn't have it, but an OTA update came out. Works now.
