Team SRM has released their update to the massive Formula One 1990 mod for rFactor.
Originally planned only to be a 1.2 update that adds missing cars and a few new sounds, the team decided to go for lots of more improvements on the physics and graphics for a full 2.0 update.
The team has put almost three years of work into the mod, fixing various bugs and adding new features such as proper H-shifter simulation for a truly authentic 1990 season feeling.
Aside from the great-looking cars, the mod also comes with a full-blown track pack that enables rFactor players to simulate a full 1990 season!

Bit of a hijack, but if you're happy with the rfactor engine, how about Game Stock Car 2013?

It's a Brazilian sim for their touring car series but it has a variety of other cars in there and it's < $30. The release got delayed but you can download a pre-release version if you order it.

Just watched some youtube vids, looks really odd.... The AI cars don't 'bounce' around on the bumps, or have any suspension movement at all.. Hopefully that is something they are working on?
