ARSE Cycling Records.

With a few new people on the forums, I thought it would be good to have a place to keep everyones cycling records.

It is not meant to intimidate, more to encourage. I know seeing people doing big kilometres was a motivator for me.

If numbers aren't important to you, there is no need to participate. For the people like me that love stats, fill out the Google sheet and we can keep track of how people are going. To keep some sort of sanity, and make it sort of uniform, lets use Strava as a data source. It makes it easy to break things up by week and month. For yearly totals, http://veloviewer.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; should be able to work it out.

" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Once a few people have filled it out, I will get a screen shot and update it every now and then.

Go to it.

I think it auto saves virtually instantly.

And damn you, you'll be setting records every week. :)

I am not looking forward to his numbers :)

Pretty sure he has a 17000km year. For some reason I think he has a 900km week too. Maybe when he was training for the Warny.

By the way, it isn't really a competition. It is to give people an idea of what others are capable of and something to aim at. I doubt Flinty will top any of his records. I will be lucky to. But I know it made me more confident of doing bigger rides when I saw what my mates had done and others on BNA that I had ridden with.

Added my stats to the list, hopefully I haven't screwed it up.

Updated mine. Need a better bit of kit before I can attempt longer rides. Still putting around on my Trek 3500 to work and back most days. Life always manages to kick me in the guts and my bike savings gets hammered first, lol.

EDIT: Mine is ALL done now, the biggest single climb is Hotham @1303mtrs
Yes norbs, close to a 17K in 2010 but only ever did a 700km week mind you I backed it up with 600km the week after. :D
by the way my longest ever ride is not on STRAVA, it was the 2006 Melbourne to Warrnambool which back then was just shy of 300km. With warm-up I think I had 304.7km on the Polar 710.
Here's the proof: http://www.aboc.com.au/Members/waynefli ... xperience/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Also before STRAVA existed I rode 2 consecutive days of 194km each day, rode from my house in Melbourne to my Parents house in Gippsland then back again, on a Sat/Sun about a month before doing that 2006 Warny.

Suffice to say I don't think I'll be topping any of them anytime soon...

Perhaps you should add an 'hours in the torture chamber' column as well (Time on trainer: 10.5 days) :D

Also coldest average temperature - which sadly neither Strava nor Garmin report, however I found a -9C ride to start with.

My rides aren't worthwhile to put on there.
Hang on, didn't you just do a 350km week? :melt:

I'm surprised you didn't find something wrong with it - like you seem to do every other time.
Wait, what? :faint:

Time on trainer is much more than 10.5 days now and the coldest average temperature is 2hours+ with -15C
