As much as I'd like some of these mod's released I want the finished product. I'm not to interested in this whole Beta thing! I think people are only doing it so their mods are out first. I'm more than happy to wait for the finished product.

I dont see how the mods have anything to do with the guys making the finished product. Arent the mods coming from people outside of Kunos?

He's saying he's not interested in unfinished versions of the mods. i.e. version 0.0.0.0.2 of a track that's just the basic layout of a track with zero detail or scenery like some have released.

There's so much crap on the AC forum they're going to need a separate forum for finished/released mods so we don't have to wade through it all to find the stuff worth downloading. Or someone will have to start an equivalent of rfactor central.

Hahaha, this has been my fear all along with 3rd party developers as mods seem to continually get updated beta or otherwise.
So unless there is mod moderation it just becomes a free-for-all & for the end user it's not always easy to keep up let alone having all users using the same version of a mod at the same time. I agree it is a mess already & needs to be addressed but I can't see it getting any better... :(

Can something be done via STEAM to help this???

This one might excite a few guys around here, especially Richo.
The HistorX Historic Touring Car & GT mod surely is one of rFactor’s most popular modding project, created by a very talented team with a passion for historic racing and details.
Now, it seems like the famous mod is heading for a new home as Rantam, head of the HistorX team, has posted the following video, showing one of the HistorX cars in Assetto Corsa!

Quite a bit of HistoriX isn't simbin's anymore, so they should be right to convert their own cars

From the HistorX Team posted on FB
Hi there!

after the video and these few screenshots we posted last week a lot of discussion from the community has followed. We're very happy to see the amazing support we still get, no matter if you think we're going to release the next mod for rFactor2, Assetto Corsa or both. So, thanks for that!

Having said that please note we haven't said we're moving from rF2 to AC. We haven't discarded choosing AC over rF2 either. At this point there's no final decision about what platform we're going to use. The thing is that it's not an easy decision and as a team we need to agree on that (and about a lot of other things). It's as simple as that

We have 4 cars on AC now. In rF2 there're way more (even a new working UI for this rF2 version was created back on 2012) but still nothing has been decided yet.

If you are familiar with our mod for rF1 you probably know that we don't release anything unless we think we've reached the highest quality level we can get at that point. We say this to make clear that you're not going to see anything coming from us any soon, no matter the sim you think about.

But to go back to what is important to clarify with this post: don't worry.. no matter the chosen platform/s or the focus of our next project we'll let you know with an official statement when the moment comes

Thanks once more for your continuous support!

Ps. Just in the case someone thinks we are just trying to create hype around us: let me tell you that all this started as a kind response to someone who wanted to see a specific car on AC (just search Rantam's post there):

The Shelby Cobra 427 has got another update.
Sorry for the quick successive updates, but we needed to make a fix.

Current Version = v0.25

Includes REQUIRED FIX for 18/07/2014 base game update.
Due to big disadvantage for sequential shifter users, shifting time for sequential shifters now matches H-shifter

Other Updates -
minor changes to suspension
changes to default setup
fuel consumption is now set

Dear followers,

From Formula Corsa Modding we are gladly to announce the partnership with F1 ASR Team Modding which will allow us to release all the cars from the 2014 Season of the Formula One championship.
The plan is to release three Formula One cars every two weeks starting next friday, so hopefully over the next 8 or 10 weeks you will be able to enjoy all the cars from the Formula One Championship 2014 Season.

Regards,
Formula Corsa Modding.
