Reiza Studios released v1.25 of Game Stock Car Extreme on the Steam Network. Non-Steam users can update to v1.25 by running GSC Sync.
This update adds theMetalmoro MR18 Prototype car and GX390 rental karts to Game Stock Car Extreme. Reiza also supplied the Johannesburg Historic circuit, Ortona circuit (4 layouts) and an updated version of Goiânia (post-2014).

Furthermore V1.25 features updated sounds and updated tyre physics for all cars and fixes several small bugs. The Reiza Studios dev team also lets us know that they will address some more minor issues and implement previously announced V1.25 features in the coming weeks.

If you already own GSCE you may now switch your Serial Number for a Steam key from the official GSC Extreme website:
http://game-stockcar.com.br/steam-key/?lang=en

Existing NonSteam installs will continue to work even if you do switch your Serial Number for a Steam key, but you will not be able to use the Serial Number again for an install in a fresh system.
Moving to Steam is recommended, but not required. Just like in this release, the plan is to continue updating both versions simultaneously. If you do prefer to keep multiple installs of the game for mods, be advised that for now is not possible with Steam.

Changelog for v1.25:
Cars:
Added Metalmoro MR18 Prototype series
Added GX390 rental karts to KARTS series

Tracks:
Added Johannesburg Historic
Added Ortona (4 layouts)
Updated Goiânia to post-2014 reform

Features & fixes:
Extensive audio revision from new onboard & trackside recordings bring updated sounds to all cars;
Tyre physics updates for all cars further improving lateral / longitudinal force combining;
Adjusted terrain properties (road, curbs, grass & gravel)
The hard compound for the F-Extreme & F-Reiza now has its proper orange Pirelli sidewall label;
Corrected bug with corrupted textures in the F-Vee cockpit when running graphics detail lower than max;
Corrected bug with Spielberg & Buenos Aires corrupted textures when running graphics detail lower than max;

Known issues:
Several code-related issues reported from v1.21 are still present in this build, as the code is going through a rewrite which has not been completed in time for v1.25. For that reason v1.25 has the following known issues:
Bug in the scoring in championship mode for all series;
F-Extreme can occasionally disappear when hitting 8th gear in multiplayer;
F-Extreme & F-Reiza tyre restrictions are not applying in pitstops.

Bug in the scoring in championship mode for all series;
F-Extreme can occasionally disappear when hitting 8th gear in multiplayer;

Setting grid position (when qualifying is turned off) does not work (always start from pole

Reiza Studios just released a new update for their Formula Truck 2013 title bringing the version number to 1.25. This update will add the Salvador Street Circuit to your Formula Truck 2013 track library.

As usual the update also features a selection of fixes and performance updates. On the graphics side of things, the Reiza team updated some of the shaders & textures for the Cascavel, Londrina, Spielberg and Tarumã circuits. They also added a default player profile. For usage, make sure you check out the important notes included with the changelog.

The update is automatically deployed when you have a Steam license. For non-Steam users, a full updated installer will be coming up soon.

Code: Select all

V1.25 Changelog:
Content

General features / Bug Fixes
    Added option to set session start time (24h cycle)
    Added options to switch qualifying off and manually set grid position
    Fixed trackside flags animation
    Added support for graphical steering wheel rotation adjustment from the Controller menu (min 180º max 900º)
    Adjusted default rearview height / width
    Minimum vertical FOV setting adjusted from 35º to 10º (IMPORTANT – Don´t use DEFAULT option as it resets to 34 upon restarting the game – set it to 50 if you want the proper default value)
    Executable now is set to include +fullproc by default (for better performance in modern CPUs)
    Adjusted LOD settings for all Trucks
    Increased rear view mirror resolution
    Updated terrain shaders & textures for Cascavel, Londrina, Spielberg and Tarumã

IMPORTANT NOTES:
Added a default player profile (if you already have created a profile you might have to switch back to it from the PROFILE menu)
If field of view in-cockpit is too close, check DEFAULT Vertical FOV so it is not set to DEFAULT value (set it to 50 if you want the proper default value)

If you have created a new player profile and are experiencing the graphical micro stuttering, open your USERDATA\Playername\Playername.PLR, and look for these lines:
Shadow Updates=”127″ // Static shadow updates per frame (Shadow Updates * Sky Update Frames should exceed number of static shadows on track)
Sky Update Frames=”8″ // Frames between sky and light updates

Change it to:
Shadow Updates=”8″ // Static shadow updates per frame (Shadow Updates * Sky Update Frames should exceed number of static shadows on track)
Sky Update Frames=”150″ // Frames between sky and light updates

Something for hardcore sim geeks amongst us. :vibes:
Reiza Studios’ physics expert Niels Heusinkveld has shared a very interesting video, explaining the studio’s tire model inner workings.
The 16-minute video below share plenty of details on the tire model that powers the studio’s Game Stock Car Extreme and Formula Truck titles, both of which are based on ISI’s gMotor 2 engine.

Reiza Studios have posted a new video showing us a demonstration of the new Tire pickup and flat-spotting features for Game Stock Car Extreme.

Locking the tires will cause visible damage and will generate an actual physical effect in the form of a so-called flat spot. The actual depth of the flat spot will be generated by a number of parameters, such as tire softness, load, and the time it has been dragged on the track surface. After some laps, the flat spot on the tire will eventually wear down, and smooth out the ride.

At this time, the flat spotting and tire pickup functionality are only implemented on the player´s car. If the recently announced funding campaign proves to be successful, Reiza Studios will be able to further implement the features into the codebase so that also the AI & multiplayer cars will be affected. Reiza Studios has also hinted that another fundamental element of real world racing will become part of the Stock Car Extreme simulator, but did not yet reveal any details.

Those who want to support Reiza Studios in their effort to bring Game Stock Car Extreme to the next level can still do so by participating in the IndieGoGo crowdfunding campaign.

Back in April, the OZV8 modding team officially announced their fictional take on the 2015 Australian ‘Supercars’ touring car series with their new, scratch built mod that will be coming to the Game Stock Car Extreme title. The OZV8 modding team also mentioned that the licensed physics and sounds would be provided by the Reiza Studios development team.
Today Reiza Studios have released a new preview video, showing the Super V8 car in action in Game Stock Car Extreme.
The Australian touring car is one of the content items that is being developed thanks to funding from the studio’s studio’s IndieGoGo crowdfunding campaign.
The video also shows off the modern Montreal track, beta versions of the new content will be available to try for backers in a few days time.

Engine sounds like it's ripped from iRacing :eek:

The extra sounds of the gearbox, exhaust etc bring it to life though.

So I opted into Reiza Simracing Bonanza yesterday, they were at 76% when I did it, now they are at 93%... It'll easily make 100% or more before it ends, so get on it. :D
The $25 option was the best for me as you get GSCE Beta access & I already own the old GSCE & Formula Truck. But if you go $35USD you get the beta access as well as Steam Keys for both the legacy GCSE & FT.
I received my Beta key this morning, it's a separate install to the legacy GSCE & already contains the V8's. :yes:

Then I see this today... as can be seen in Niels Heusinkveld latest Talk & Drive vid below. He does much of the physics works for Reiza, if you didn't know. ;)

Reiza Studios have successfully completed their much-discussed crowd funding campaign for Game Stock Car Extreme, raising more money than originally planned!
All in all, $99.810 have been raised, a whopping 124% of the originally planned funding goal and as such, all crowdfunding goals have been unlocked:
New Content & Features Unlocked By Crowdfunding
Cars:
SuperV8
Lancer Cup
Lancer Evo Rallycross
Formula V10
Supertrucks
Copa Montana
Renault Fluence (Marcas)
Honda Civic (Marcas)
New Formula 3 Brasil
Additional Bonus car

Tracks:
Montreal Modern
Autódromo Velo Città
Foz dirt track
Additional & longer Foz layouts
Supertruck layouts for existing tracks
More layouts for existing tracks
Additional Bonus track

Features:
New UI & HUD system
Drivetrain physics development to demand more realistic gear-shifting
VR support (including Rift DK2)
Tire damage & dirt pickup
Dynamic track conditions (rubber build up on the racing line & marbles off-line based on vehicle interaction)
Custom offline championship tool
Art pass + additional shader development to boost graphics

Due to the successful nature of the crowdfunding campaign, Reiza has continued to keep the funding open as part of IndieGoGo’s “InDemand” functionality, allowing new users to become backers and gain access to their recently-launched development forum and the newest beta versions.

The additional funds will be used for some more additions that have not yet been outlined so Game Stock Car Extreme users can look forward to even more goodies in the future.
