Works fine for me.

There is a website somewhere where it can see if a site is available.
It's called something like 'does this site work for you'

Update on this. Tried deleting cache and cookies, restarting modem and router, tried with firewall off, nothing. Still getting timed out. Tried pinging their IP - request timed-out. I can access it from my Android device on 4G but not if I'm connected via my cable wifi router.

Maybe my IP address is being blocked by their site?

I'm wondering what happens if you tethered your computer to your Android phone? Oh and what about completing a trace route, I'm wondering what that would return.

Either that or your ISP is blocking it, or maybe a bad routing...try to call them (your ISP), they might be able to help.

I've compared my results with yours. For whatever reason after you reach 65.99.248.254, it doesn't hop to 72.249.187.26 (patton.armchairgeneral.com).

How weird. Oh! What about a simple "ipconfig /flushdns" command? Or then we're up to clearing some arp cache next.

Thanks wabs for your help. Did that, cache flushed successfully (do I need to reboot?), restarted browser, no change. What's next do you think?

You're welcome. At some point I'll have to admit I haven't done "support" for ages (I mean what I'd call "real support" for years really) so my mind is thinking of all these possibilities and of course there's a good amount of fuzz mixed in.

Anyway... back to it.
  • Restarting after a /dnsflush... bah I wouldn't it just rebuilds the info (resolver cache anyway)
  • You haven't some how added the site as a "blocked" or "restricted site" in your browser? I saw you've already cleared the browser cache
  • What's in your Hosts file? (Open Hosts in Notepad.exe from c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc). Something weird looking like an IP from your posted trace route entires? The Localhost entry is fine, leave that alone haha
  • You could manually set your DNS entries for your PC... Google's (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) or OpenDNS's (208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220), either set will do
  • And I'm stumped after these... The flip side like Ysu has already is, that site may have blocked your ISP for some reason. Which explains why your 4G connection works when using your phone
  • Oh! Drag Astro in here, he's a smart cookie with the desktop support stuff
