What do you guys drive? And what have you done to it.

Post by Dan »

I know what quite a few of you guys a driving but always wondered about the rest. Couldn't find a thread like this so I thought I'd start one up.

Here's my VE SV6 ute, living so close to the CBD for so long when I was 18 I really never needed a car/license but just before I turned 23 I had to get one to move forward with my work. So I'm a 25 year old p plater... So I'm restricted to what I can drive. Needed a ute for work but also love my cars so I grabbed this, so far it's just the usual stuff to improve the handling of this boat like strut brace, sway bars (originals are so thin!) and adjustable coil overs all from pedders.

Also picked up some lighter, wider wheels. 19x9.5

Love the wheels man. So i have the VL Turbo now, built motor built gearbox and diff, should run 10s once tuned properly. And my Daily is a 94 Pathfinder which so far has 31" Muddies and a big stereo. Want to get a snorkel and a 2" lift happening. Also some new wheels. I know there is pics in my thread but that started for my SS so here lol

No mods yet but contemplating an exhaust upgrade. Would really love to have a real expert go over her bumper to bumper and make sure everything is absolutely as good as it good be first though.

Haven't driven it for more than 10 minutes. The fuel regulator needs to be changed as its noisy as fuck, now its out of rego. I will get it towed to the tuning place for the tune Eboost2 and fuel pressure regulator when i have the cash in a month or so :)

Mine's pretty well documented but here it is again.

'02 Renault Clio Sport 172

What I've done so far:
- Team Dynamics 1.2 rims
- Upgraded engine & gearbox mounts (lots more vibrations but... race car)
- Eibach Pro-line springs
- Brembo slotted discs and Ferodo DS2500 pads on front
- Braided brake lines
- Clio 182 steering wheel (has cruise control buttons so now need to get the other bits to enable me to have cruise)
- Gordini stripes (for moar power)
- Plasti dipped mirrors and badge (see above)

I plan on holding on to it for as long as possible. The later Clio 200 Cup is more hardcore but loses that big engine / little car feeling (mine is 124kw / 1090kg and Clio 200 is 147kw / 1245kg) that gives it buckets of useful torque everywhere. Next mod will hopefully be an induction kit just to make it sound cool. Long term I'd like to put in coil overs and further out an LSD would be awesome. Still, it puts a smile on my face whenever I drive it. It's fun both around town and out in the twisties but the lift off oversteer can catch you out in the wet!

I've got the new version of Exar's Clio he talks about up there. I'm in love with it, makes me smile everytime I press the start button. I call it my little mid life crises.

I haven't done anything to it as it's a company car, and that would be throwing money away. I wouldn't mind adding something to the exterior to differentiate it from others (it's pretty understated externally) but I have no idea what that would be at this point :)

Dan, Those wheels look awesome. :D Also loving the Clio's as they are.

You all probably know mine. 2012 Skoda Octavia 90TSI. Manual, Arctic Green metallic paint, reversing sensors. Nothing done to it other than some generic floor mats I might replace with better ones. Has a little wear in the interior driver side and boot now after 40,000km but still smells like a new car some how.

I've got an iLoad. I've modified it with pie wrappers behind the front seat, a 12 month old coke spill in the centre console, and some DNA from Joanne Lee's in the back.

Mitsu 380 - bought some decent rubber for it. But that was a long time ago. It's time for a new set...or a new car ;)

Scottie sports a Red '07 Mazda 3 SP23, no mods, but it'll have a sunroof by Spring. I'd like to firm up the suspension a little bit, and get some feel into the clutch and brake pedals though... :/ Got no qualms with anything else in it!

Oh, and the eyes... I'm a fricken kid huh!

All standard and still going strong. Battery is on it's way out though which is apparently common for new cars (2.5 years for the first one). Can't fault the car, but fuck me I could fault the dealership. Lazy pricks.

Anyways, it still pokes about pretty damn fast. It's great dragging commodores and falcons off the lights. I don't think people expect how quick it is.

E36 with a few mods.. before I got it, since then audio and services. Run about and have tracked.

VE SS 6L Sport-wagon, cat back. Nice and angry when woken.

I've got a 2009 VW Scirocco 2.0 TSi with a DSG box. All stock because I figure they know what they're doing :)
When the next generation one comes out in 2015ish I might be tempted in to the R version.
