With the Android wareables SDK being released a few weeks ago I thought it would be a little while yet before we saw hardware to suit. How I was wrong.

I don't often say this about tech as i like to do my research before slashing out but...

Motorola, shut up and take my money!

I wanted a pebble steel for a while but decided to wait to see where Android would take wearables. LG also have launched their smart watch but its not quite as sexy as the moto 360.

Yeah the moto looks hot but it scares me that moto haven't been able to do anything right for 10 years and there is bound to be a catch?

Maybe not, certainly looks promising!

What's you thoughts on the Motor X then Pix. If I had waited on the S4 and I could get my hands on it I reckon I would have gone the Motorola over the Nexus 5.

To me the Nexus 5 is a better phone at a better price!

Maybe I'm wrong about moto (I hope so)..

Ok this is pretty darn cool. They call it a mechanical smart watch hybrid, and it is like nothing we’ve seen in recent smartwatches.

Now I like that, guess my decision on whether to go a smart watch in future has just taken another turn, might be time to wait a little longer before jumping on board.

Android Wear Smartwatches are now available on Google Play. Starting with the LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live which looks like a GPE edition of the Samsung watch.

Our LG watch arrived at the office today and I immediately swipped it.... See what I did there! Genius :)

Anyway.. I synced it up and strapped it on..

It feels nice.. Yes it's too thick but you can forgive it considering what it does..

I sent a bunch of voice recognition sms's to the wife, some of which were readable.. It's nice to be able to see notifications and the like.. I was impressed..

If you are a heavy sms or email user you will probably enjoy it.. I'll keep you posted..

Fits my wrist nicley, I have a stack of Facer watch faces for it along with some Play store purchases.
Android Wear is the same as when I trialed it with the G Watch before i refunded it.

I need to do the latest Ware update till ill notice any changes to the software.

Its charging now and is almost 100%. Im expecting a few days of average battery till it stabalises and the latest Ware update almost doubles the battery life anyway so need to get that done when im near wifi.
I have a metal band in waiting but will need to mod it a bit to ensure i dont get any back cranking that others have reported.

All in all its beautiful piece of hardware. Looking forward to it being fully charged and back on my wrist.
