I have been at RSC looking at 1st impressions and that's the one thing everyone seems to be happy with. Obviously there's varying degrees of satifaction about physic's and graphics like any game that's been released, but no one has complained about the netcode.r8response wrote:im waiting till everyone's had their say about the multiplayer code

sounds alright then, although i believe this game will live or die ala GTR on the mods that are produced.w00dsy wrote:I have been at RSC looking at 1st impressions and that's the one thing everyone seems to be happy with. Been having a blast around tonight with the AoR guys and if it's netcode you're worried about then no need. It's as good as LFS's. Other cars might as well have been on a LAN for how much they warped. So no issues there at all. Definitely prefer the roadcar feel over LFS, dunno about the open wheelers yet. Problem is, I got these new pedals so it's kind of hard to come up with a benchmark since I haven't played LFS with them yet.
Anyway, prefer GTL's graphics although rFactor gets me more frames - as much as LFS in fact. Don't like rFactors textures at all although the actual engine is good.
I think I like it but I'm not sure yet. I reckon the mods will be what I'm really going to enjoy.
Oh, and if anyone is worried about having to unlock cars then don't be. Just jump into any practice session and type into the chat window "ISI_BABYFACTORY" without the quotes then exit the track and you'll get all cars and heaps of money. You need to do this for both OW and SR series.

well i just had a run online with the ATR guys and fuck me if the inside of my car didnt catch fire after a nasty crash. I had flames leaping around my dash for fucks sake.
I was chatting to Haze on skype at the time and he was unable to emulate my feat during his major taste of wall

I was really looking forward to rFactor and for me it is a little bit of a let down. It's a cpu pig :P Cockpit looks like it was taken from GP3. But the worse thing for me is something feels like it's missing from the physics. They just feel......not right somehow.
But carn't wait till the modding community gets ahold of it

What Mick Said! OMG I have not seen a game that looks this sweet...reckon it will rock once I get used to it...re Net code...Rock solid so far, had a duel last night with two other FZ (I think thats what they were) 10 laps, stuck to their bums...not one flicker, no warp...Mods will be a treat...Exar Kun wrote:I'm not sure I'll have time for LFS and AAL now.SE1Z wrote: Plus, with LFS and the AAL, im not sure ill have the time...
