AACL Skins

Post by pixelboy »

Please post your skins here. Make sure you have the following information for each skin:

1. Skin Name
2. Version
3. Car
4. Screenshot

To install skins place them in the following directory:

Code: Select all

\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\cars\CAR_NAME\skins
If you want to use them in AACL races please zip them up and email them to aacl.skins@gmail.com...

Others will be able to download them from here http://www.aacl.net.au/skins/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

They do. Pix still had the AACL one on his car and it was showing up for me the other night when he was on.

I spent a bit of time setting up all the files you can, which is quite a bit (you can retexture every part of the car if you want). Zipped up the skin is 6mb's! That's going to add up across a grid of cars.

*Removed: No longer racing this week*

Nice job GT.

Yes, there's a lot you can change if you want. I've done skins for the Macca GT3 and the Lotus F1 car too. Man, that F1 car is a pain.

I don't think it's too bad at 6mb though. 120 for the field, I think that's reasonable. Plus if teams get skins sorted you might find 2 or 3 people using the same one.

Depending on numbers I might just create a post that has links to everyone's skins in each division, so that you can just download the ones for your race if that's all you want.

Nice skin indeed, even if it was just a number swap on the cars it would be good.

You could use dropbox...and share the folder with everyone who wants to upload. (Altho it has its own dangers; one person can delete all the files)
Then share the files for download by anyone.
Surprise, no sig. Now there is. Or is there?

Hi Guys,

I've created an account for these skins and I'll put all the files here

" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Just email your skins to aacl.skins@gmail.com and I'll do my best to get them up there.

For my convenience, please send them as zip folders that are ready to be extracted into the correct folder in AC.

So for this week that means digging into Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\cars\bmw_m3_e30_dtm\skins to place them into.

Hopefully that can work for you guys until there is a more permanent solution.

If the email address starts getting bombarded with any other shit other than skins, I will delete it and not bother with it again.

I've put the current AACL one there as an example. There is 15gig worth of space, if push comes to shove I'll delete anything that doesn't have to do with the current AACL series and/or round.

Finally got mine done, anyone else is free to use it... and if anyone else is a fan of Mountain Goat beer, sing out and I can get their other varieties immortalised in the coming weeks :p

Looks good gra55. Just tried to grab the file, any chance you could zip them all up together? It's a bit of a pain having to grab each one and having to create a folder name etc.

*looks like you did. Google drive will show the contents of a zip folder, which I think is where your link is pointing too. Make a folder on your g-drive called skins, then put your zip folder in that. Share the Skin folder, not the zip folder, that way we will just be able to grab it all in one go.

**I see you were a good boy and emailed it through :) Has been saved on the AACL drive.

Pix, can you edit your first post to include the email address and the link to get them.

Ok... I'm curious.

I want to be able to see everyone's personal/team liveries when we race.
Do I have to download everyone's skin and save them in my AC skins folder?
Or...
Is it like LFS and will download your skins for me to see?

Reason is, I don't necessarily want to USE anyone else's skin or have it select-able when in game.
I only want/need the skins I want to race with - but at the same time, see yours.

?

Bugger....
Well... Is there a file I can remove so that the skin isn't 'selectable' ?

20+ skins that are selectable, but aren't mine is going to be real annoying. :aussie:
