This is a fun combo. Soooo much grip. Love going through the Schumacher esses, foot flat to the floor.

I'm not able to compete, haven't had a day off for 8 months, but is there a way I can watch?

As far as I know, there isn't anyway to spectate at this point. You can't save replays either. Only way to see it is to be there.

No sir. But I've done a 2:00.9xx with the standard set. Repo is already under 2. but I'm not sure what he's using.

I love this combo. Just when you think you're going as fast as you can, you find you can push even harder.

So far I've stuck with the standard set, for getting to know the circuit it seems ok.
Bit I've only got down to a low 2:03. Sub 2:00 will be a stretch for me I fear.
iirc the fastest time on RSR Live Timing was a low 1:58. :O

I think the std set should get me to a mid 2:03, so frustrating when the ghost is far enough behind that I know I am about a second up and then run myself wide to the dirt.....

This car feels like it has magic-grip after the last combo. I agree, it should be a lot of fun.

Ran a few laps last night - mid 2min.05 so far.
Got a fair bit of time to make up! :tilt:

Fun combo though and all that grip should make for an interesting race.

Reduce the rear wing, it'll become a lot more lively :)

Altho the base setup is pretty good here in my opinion. My only problem is the curb-handling, but that's really only an issue in two S-es, the really fast one and the one before the last corner.

I've tried reducing the wing but it has resulted in major handling problems and not much top speed. A bit more work is needed to make that a useful setup.

P.s. wr @ 1:57 Bloody hell someone has attached rockets to it...That, I'm sure, wasn't done on the base setup. :)
Surprise, no sig. Now there is. Or is there?

I think it's deceptive. It does have lots of grip but that means it can actually have a higher speed through the corners. I found I was slowing way more than I needed and not carrying enough speed through the corners. I was not getting on the go pedal early enough either.

It's a big change from the last combo. The racing should be awesome.

Has a Qual setup from Georg Siebert who did a 1:59.263 with it...

Is there a delay with the hotlap thingy ? I just set a luke warm lap and so far hasn't registered.

Ps: Would love a set if possible ? I seem to be getting loads of front end push or that could be my ordinary driving.

Just used that setup flinty and ran a 1:59.234 Was only after about 10 laps around too, plenty of room for improvement.

If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you finally have enough horsepower.

Yep, goot set this one.
59.7 after a few laps (5 maybe?)

Mind you, I've used the run-off between T2/3 so it's an invalid lap for Radiator Springs :)

You're not on your own, I did about 20 laps in the GX last night until I woke up to the problem.

Stock set here (zero changes - still medium tyres, 30L, etc). Did about 10 laps all up and my best lap happened to be three pb sectors together... Very forgiving car, spend most of the lap 100% throttle as the car seems traction limited. Can also throw it sideways into a few corners without braking much. Great fun!

Looking forward to trying that qual set :)

Righty funny you say traction Iimited as correct me if I'm wrong but I think the GTC has some level of traction control on by default, most modern GT race cars do.

So maybe one of the setup considerations will be how much or little TC to dial in...

I didn't say squat :)

Bit I know Repo did :)

It certainly feels like there's a level of traction control and ABS.

Hmmm....when hotlapping I have all the aids bar auto clutch turned off in the menu and I can lock a wheel or lose the arse under power quite easy, does this override the car default settings or something? Should I leave all the aids in the main menu enabled and then adjust setting when in the setup area instead?

Same although I only use ABS as my pedals are either on or off with .5mm travel.

It's showing abs but i can still lock the car up under normalish braking .
