When you have the driver aids turned off, any car that has them in real life should still have them enabled unless you use the hotkeys while in car to disable them.

Ahh ok, will have to check what I have set in setup then to figure out what is going on.

Bit I know Repo did :)

It certainly feels like there's a level of traction control and ABS.
Hmmm....when hotlapping I have all the aids bar auto clutch turned off in the menu and I can lock a wheel or lose the arse under power quite easy, does this override the car default settings or something? Should I leave all the aids in the main menu enabled and then adjust setting when in the setup area instead?
Uh oh, I've caused some commotion. It's likely just better brakes. I have everything off to, but as Darren said, if the real car has it, then it will be on by default regardless. You need to disable it in race otherwise.

Oops, I'll blame being sick & tired for picking the wrong user starting with R.

As for switching off TC in the race, why?
Surely an aid like that (& ABS) is worth having, it's just a matter of finding your best setting for it?
If the real GT drivers use it, then it must be an advantage using it...

I don't turn it off. If the car has it on, I leave it on.

Sorry I figured you did leave it on but your suggestion to turn it off which I know some are inclined to do for "hardcore realism" seems contradictory to the "real" world.

I think more attention should be paid to the fact that Darren is in to the low 57's. :fall:

Finding this car a real handful

Anyone else finding it unstable under braking? Even if I don't downshift and brake lightly it still sometimes spears off to the side braking for T1 and the chicane. Might be hitting the bump stops or something because brake bias, farb, toe didn't help.

So far the Z4 GT3 is my fav of the GT cars.

I think after a 30 minute race I'm going to be stuffed. When you start to get right on the edge it can go badly really quick. I'm getting maybe 2 laps out of the softs before it starts to get loose at the back.

I'm still trying to find the fastest way around the first set of corners. Also learnt that the witches hat on the last chicane is a target rather than an obstacle.

The standard setup doesn't spear off under brakes.

If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you finally have enough horsepower.

Supercharged.

Holy shit, it was a road rocket, and we hardly opened it up. Too much car for me to handle, put it that way. But Dave just reports back that he had an awesome drive up the mountains back home. :p

Pretty jealous. I love how engaging Lotii are to drive. There's a guy on the Renault Sport forum who has rebodied his Exige in carbon fibre and doubled the power output. Just slightly insane!

GULP!!! So I shaved over 2sec of my PB today.

Nice effort mate. That's a big chunk of time. The load cell took me forever to get used to but for some people it works better for them straight away.

I had another run tonight as well.

Setup. Put front arb to 6 and/or front height to 5-10 if it's too unstable under braking. I'll most likely do that for the race.

Telemetry. I think if you put this in Documents\Assetto Corsa\ctelemetry\player you should be able to load it to compare your lap to mine on the in game telemetry screen.

Cheers Darren.
Will give your set a run tonight.

I had a look at the .ini - interestingly you've done the opposite to what I did!

I took 2 secs off my time by reducing the front arb and increasing the rear, this gave it much better off throttle turn in and dialed out some of the cars natural understeer.

AACL cant find my hotlap? I cannot see how my laps are invalid. My times show up as red in the friends leaderboard... should it be green?

Lotus GTC
Nurburgring
Hotlap mode
Penalties on
Didnt even touch a kerb

Why do I have no valid laps!
