Re: Race Sim Tech & Tips
Just waiting for the parts to arrive to make this iRacing Arduino Pit Board. Norbs thinks the screen might be too small, I'll see once I get it.

Majority 3D printed. I'd be interested with what type of printing and what type of material. If it's just PLA or ABS they aren't exactly known for their strength.

Think I'd want a metal plate on the top, but I guess since it's 3d printed you could just print another when it wears down or breaks

Fark... So wish I had the cash to grab a AccuForce Wheel... Anyone offering a loan?
The first annual SimXperience Black Friday sale is coming soon and you’ll have an entire weekend to take advantage of some incredible deals.
Starting Friday November 27th at 12:00 AM EST (5:00 AM UTC) thru Sunday, November 29th, 12:00 AM EST we have sales on some of our most desirable products.
To take advantage of the savings, you must use the promo code "SimXBlack" from the product page in the box labeled Optional Promo Code.
Don’t hesitate because some items will only be discounted while supplies last during the 48-hour promotional period.
Another reason to take advantage of this promo is that if you were considering an AccuForce Sim Steering System, we have a new, more affordable model with same renowned performance as the AccuForce Pro. Better yet, you can upgrade it to the AccuForce Pro as your time and budget permit via simple bolt-on accessories.
The AccuForce without button box, paddle shifters, quick release and slip ring will retail for $1249.00.
But it gets better! The first 30 customers that order this base model AccuForce can opt for the MOMO Mod 30 or Mod 88 steering wheel to replace our Premium Suede 320mm steering wheel at no additional charge. Those initial 30 models will also be available for immediate dispatch.
That’s $1249.00 with a MOMO Mod 30 or Mod 88!! Once those thirty rims have been sold, you can still get this great deal with our Premium Suede 320mm Steering Wheel.

Interesting, even if it's around simraceway... that Palatov D4 is also free in rFactor 2, officially developed by ISI.

Neat trick using the projector off a mirror to keep it compact.
I tried driving iracing recently on a single monitor and I couldn't do it. Kept driving off the track in slow corners because I couldn't see where I was going or judge speed correctly. Guess I'm locked in to VR for sims now.

Re: Race Sim Tech & Tips
So after the success of getting the iRacing Arduino Pit Board going I'm now looking at adding an iFlag to the SimRig.
Yes I know it's a bit gimmicky but a cool thing that any self respecting SimRig/Racer needs to have.
I just hope that the Hardware I've bought from DX.com works as it was around 2/3 the cost compared to that linked in the GitHub Project.
If anyone is interested here's the links to the required hardware from DX, I'll report back on whether it works...
60mm 8x8 LED Matrix with Expansion Shield Board to connect to Arduino Uno
Arduino Uno compatible board with USB cable

Re: Race Sim Tech & Tips
http://www.ISRTV.com presents our review of the BenQ XR3501 monitor in triples. The XR3501 packs a lot of nice specs into a single package. 35" diagonally, 144Hz refresh rate, 2000R curve, 4ms response and an AMVA panel. With that said, it does only have a resolution of 2560x1080. But is this better for gaming? And, is it even better when you hook three of these monsters up to create the ultimate triple screen racing experience?

A better name would have been My Flag. Why do companies feel the need to put 'i' on the front of their products as if it will strengthen its market presence...NeilPearson wrote:iflag? really?
