My daughter has had hers for about a month and has had a case on it the whole time. She took it off today and saw this.

Shame. I wonder if they'll replace it for free.

Bugger! 6 or the 6+? Mines been dropped and chucked about, and generally mistreated and seems fine. I think I've been less careful with this phone than any of my previous phones.

It's a 6.

I don't think the model/version part is important rather both versions are larger than the previous generation but with roughly half the structural strength. I think the details are in the weight, the iPhone 6 is somehow only 15% heavier than the 5S... hmm, quite telling to me.

i don't think the 6 bends as easily as the 6+ but obviously they use fairly thin metal to keep weight down and to keep the phone as thin as possible, which seems to be what they were going for with this new model.

Yeah true. A while ago (link) they were looking for a structural engineer that had lots of experience in 4-point tests, rather than the standard 3-point that reviewers used to test the bending/breaking points. Of course looking to fix the issues they're having ready for the 6S and 6 Plus S.

Meh, it's a shame regardless cause of the short time in that it happened and the expensiveness of the "upfront" cost of the device.

my daughter got shoved at a concert last night and her phone dropped out of her hand. Despite being much stronger it looks like the 6's screens can still break quite nicely in the right conditions.

It appears that way. She never had these issues with the 5 or her iPod touch though.

I think I've just been lucky. My phones get chucked around and dropped a fair bit and haven't broken a screen yet.

I find my battery life to be quite good. Much better than the 4S I had.

My daughters battery life is fine too. She used to constantly run out, but since she's had the new one she easily gets through a whole day, and she hammers it with twitter, Instagram, Snapchat etc.

4PM yesterday she had to put it on charge. It was down to 10%.

I fucking hate it because when ever there is an issue, I am supposed to fix it. And there are a shitload of issues.

Yeah mine easily lasts the day, and I use it for two hours of commuting. It's not as good as a lot of the Android options out there, but a vast improvement none the less.
