Friday Night Fun. Fox and Hound. Oct 3rd

Post by norbs »

Firstly gents, go and grab these 3 tracks that will be used in up coming FNF nights.

This Friday is Fox and Hound. We are still sorting out what cars will be used, but the basic premise is for 1 person to be in a fast car, and the rest to be in a slow dog. The guys in the slow car get a lap head start over 5 laps. So trying to match the cars will take some doing. :)

Another potential night out is an ARSE in a stupidly priced car. TeamSpeak will be crucial for this night. It will be 1 person on the track at a time, doing a flying lap of the Top Gear Test track, whilst the rest of us scream abuse. Probably in the F40 to start out with. :)

Lada vs. 98t.
Aside from that, this is going to be fun and for the first time since the first Lada night I've actually got a friday at home!
Bring on the hunt!

As long as the pack are allowed to physically bully the fast car, sounds great :D

Looking good. I assume we'll need all the content on that mega link? I'm grabbing it now, but 658Mb is a fair bit for people to download at short notice.

Hey Darren. Nah, just the 2 tracks (bottom 2 linked in 1st post) and the cars that I will announce and link at lunch time.

by the way, kudos to all involved tonight. I haven't raced solid for 2.5 hours in ages, or laughed so hard. So many highlights.

- Pix's squeaky voice
- Jason's brain farts
- Hay Bales McKenzie
- Darren's 1:19 in the Cone of Silence.

Awesome!

I think the term "What the hell are you doing" was thrown at me during every race.
Aside from being rusty as hell it was a fun night.
Note: Only got 1 full race in replay, expect a highlights soon.

Haven't had that much fun in a race for a long time. Thanks guys. Pix really needs to get his voice checked though.....

lol, that was great fun. Haven't done races like that before and it worked out well around there :)

Took me ages to figure out that FWD shitbox. I always sucked in them in LFS.

That's the most I've laughed for a very long time.
Thanks to all for making it a great night, especially norbs & pix for sorting out the server.
Here's a quick animation of the Hound's last race with San & yours truly.

Oh & when I said "I'd lost my knob" I did mean that I literally lost my knob...

Tell you what Pix, you are one hell of a funny dude when you get on TS :D

Anyway, can't be stuffed making a highlights reel since I missed all the good bits...
Here's the warm-up burnout display the Crunchie Precision Driving Team put on and Flinty and San's final run, where Flinty breaks the land speed record chasing norbs and San goes off to travel all over the countryside.

Tell you what, just got some interesting files, may have to work on a highlights reel after all...
Note: they're replays of the lada series, I'll see what I can do with them ;)

How do you turn off the bloody names in replays?

Love the one of the Violet Crumble against the wall with the drivers head tilted back.
