Gents, we need to settle on a combo. Please see the poll on the first post. I will let XGN know on the weekend.

Monza, not 1960s Monza.

Well I gave the 312T a test drive last night. Yikes.

I seem to be hurting the gearbox all over the place (manually shifting). I think I'll be needing a lot of practice on this one.

The 312T is actually a pretty damn fun car to drive. I likes it around Spa.

Yep, once you get the hang of it, it is awesome fun. Was even thinking of fixing my shifter. :)

I'm addicted to the shifter, and this is the first time I've ever driven with one (when I got the G27). A bit toy-like, but it adds so much to the experience. So much fun heel toeing and running through the gears.

I'm the same so much so I actually feel a little jilted & numb when having to drive a paddle shift car...
It's just not the same & in someway feels too easy using paddles.

I played GPL with a shifter, but I would never say I was addicted.

Interesting that a stick shift car is faster in AC with a shifter. Apparently, on purpose. I think that is BS myself. The percentage of people with a shifter that actually use it would be pretty low.

I voted for the 312T at Silverstone but tbh I could easily go for the 458 GT2 also.
I just thought the 312T is more of a challenge & given the XGN boys are going with the Cobra I think it's a better choice for us...
But if the tie needs to be broken then I'm happy to go with the 458 GT2.

In other words I'm sitting on the fence, as per usual for The Duke!!!

Well, looks like we've hit a stalemate so far.
I say we pick the car that Box, Righty and Darren can drive the fastest.

I'll change my vote from the 312T to the GT2. Problem solved :)

Cool...
I was faster in the GT2 in the quick tests I did last night also. ;)

I just tried out the 458. It feels like easy mode compared to the 312T ( which is not to say that I'd actually be fast in it :) )

Either of those two options would actually be okay with me. I'm not sure I want to wrestle the 98T in a crowd.

458 GT2 at Silverstone (longest track) it is. I will let Wally know.
