Any chance some of you ARSE Apple guru's can recommend me some software that will allow me to take access of a firends new iMac from my Windows 8 system over the net. This is to help him setup some software and settings, without having to be on-site (which is a problem at the moment).
I know of TeamViewer and LogMeIn, but if OSX has some sort of built in system that wouldn't require me to install a 3rd party app, that would be great. As long as it doesn't require any complex system config or port forwarding. For example, in Windows I'd be able to use Windows Remote Assistance.
If I need a Mac to use a built in system, I still have my Mac mini running 10.6 (if that helps). It may also get me motivated to upgrade it's old Core Solo CPU (it's a 2006 model) to a spare Core 2 Duo I have lying around.
Cheers

Looks like I'll be going with TeamViewer for now. If I find anything better I'll post it up.

Works across most platforms, and works pretty well on slower connections.AstrO wrote:Looks like I'll be going with TeamViewer for now. If I find anything better I'll post it up.

+1 for Teamviewer. We use it at work for the remote laptops. It does the job
