Reasonably priced PC wheel/pedals combo?
Any recommendations? Don't want anything fancy so I can drive some things on my PC. Not getting back into sim racing, just dabbling and something the kids can use.

I am half tempted to offer you my old A1 set up, but I am not sure I can let it go.smithcorp wrote:Any recommendations? Don't want anything fancy so I can drive some things on my PC. Not getting back into sim racing, just dabbling and something the kids can use.

I think I've got an old USB wheel and pedals here that Stu gave me years ago that might still work, I'll have a look soon and let you know once I've remided myself what it is

Last week in the Friday night fun race someone (Pix?) told Norbs he should get you into Assetto Corsa and Norbs said 'last time I encouraged him to get into a hobby he broke his collarbone'

Will it work on PC Pix?
@Rod - poor old norbs doesn't need to feel guilty about that! My bones are musk sticks these days, so any hobby that involves movement is a huge risk!

Iirc it was also mentioned that if anyone could break his body while simracing it would be Smith.

Yeah, Flinty should be resting with his eye closed so he doesn't void his android warranty.

Actually, I'll have to make sure the force-feedback isn't too strong - could be sitting there with jagged ends to my forearms!

G27 is on special as well.
If you're just dabbling, not sure the extra $120 would be worth it.

Agree mate - I used to have a Momo, but couldn't justify that sort of lettuce now.

Re: Reasonably priced PC wheel/pedals combo?
Back in the day I upgraded from the MOMO to the Driving Force GT and although they use the same pedals, the GT is a much better wheel (apart from it's 2 point table mount).smithcorp wrote:Agree mate - I used to have a Momo, but couldn't justify that sort of lettuce now.
From what I can remember the GT has:
- stronger feedback.
- a 900 degree rotation.
- a smoother operation.
- more buttons.

Dashed good news. If Dick Smith's site was working properly for payment, I'd have bought the sucker by now!
